this is why good acting is so important when you are trying to sell a story with a message. like i was totally…
idk why people still say netjj can’t act. net has been showing insane acting capabilities as of late (his acting in the final ep mind you??) and jj did so good too. his vacant stare was such a good way of showing his character being emotionally tired from all the suffering.

this is why good acting is so important when you are trying to sell a story with a message. like i was totally convinced the characters were truly in love and their pain for each other just felt so real. rare bl moment where i had to check out behind the scenes of the sad scenes to make me remember that this was just a darn good acted out fictional story.

MORE OF THIS, THAI BL INDUSTRY. ACT AS IF YOUR RENT IS DUE!

Title Love upon a Time Spoiler
the final was just so heartbreaking. klao would be the one always going how would i ever live without you chuay but it was klao who first left him 🥲poor chuay could not just process it at all. not to mention how disheveled and anxious phop was when klao first went missing 🥲 poor boy gave up all the will to live right there. and then when he ends up discovering klaos body and comes to terms with kaew and jom that he really is gone 🥲 and then he just gives up on life for real. like ugh. what a tragedy. klaos return to past really just did delay the inevitable. atleast he was able to clear his fathers name but it’s sad to see what a cruel fate these two lovers had. they only get to reunite 400 years later with everyone they loved from their past having no recollection of their hardships. they will finally be able to love each other but no one from 400 years ago can see them finally having a happy life together.

this bl really left an impact on me and i genuinely didn’t expect dmd to top khemjira this fast (in my personal opinion!). what a masterpiece.

this series is so beautifully written. from the acting to the way the story unfolds until the very end, everything…
it’s truly a mystery to me as well because it was so well done from A to Z. literally the first dmd show i feel extremely sad about finishing and actually cried to. the story was just beautiful. i guess it could be because bl fans mostly watch from week to week and on a weekly basis i can see this one not engaging them as much and this one does have more of a realistic depiction of queer people and their struggles which is understandably too heavy of a theme for most of the bl fans looking for the giddy feelings.

i feel like it’ll stand the test of time for sure. it might not have fancy success like khemjira and duang with you but the fans will definitely recommend it and it’ll remain a bit of more underrated gem of a bl. many japanese bls face this fate. it’s nice that dmd decided to give the leading actors in this one yet another serious show as their next role.

Were they scared of offending religious people? Because it feels like the story was about Tanrak choosing between…
the director is a catholic gay person so i guess that’s why the story folded this way. sadly, this is why we evidently see a bias for the catholic community. i wish this show would be more like your name engraved herein.

p’aof endings are always my least fave despite the show being so good up until that point.

they end up being so happy go lucky that it almost makes the entire thing feel pointless. i remember how he carefully showed the struggles of the blind community in ‘last twilight’ just to throw it all of for a happy ending where the main lead could just see again. it just ended up coming across as offensive rather than a story about proper depiction of the blind/legally blind.

there can be a realistic and happy ending at the same time. in real life, people seek acceptance within themselves and find true happiness. they don’t continue coping. that’s all i will say.

anyways, i really do hope gmmtv does more atypical shows like this one after this show’s success. i really liked the episode structure for this show. i want gmmtv to take even bigger risks and go all out like other production companies are doing for their bls. they’ve got so many top tier actors under them but they keep giving them safer scripts.

catholic church being this accepting is just cope. seems like the director had a personal agenda with this one knowing about his background. will never understand people who find solace in faith that just tells them to fck off in bold letters. trust me, you can be in a much better and happier place.

10/10 show until it was not.

ive just only binge watched the first 6 eps but wow!! this is fantastic so far. domundi has 100% won my trust forever y’all. khemjira, duang with you, and this are a complete uturn in quality compared to whatever they put out before.

i can see why many people gave up early on this because it really does pick up slow but god when it does, it HITSSS!! ugh i love how atypical the structure and romantic development is from the usual bl dramas. my only wish for now would be that i wish the friend group in past felt more tightly knit. i feel like there’s so much unrealized potential between jom and klao’s dynamics.

so glad that i decided to wait for all the eps to come out first. this is 100% a series you have to binge watch rather than wait weekly for it.

this shi was too corny for it to be this praised but i will say i liked it a lot whenever the romance scenes between the adult versions of them happened. esp during episode 8. now that was swoon worthy.

yall thai bl fans are just sooo boring and run so strict like they’re running a navy. there’s nothing wrong with having ghost ships. i can’t believe im not allowed to have fun and ship ohmest together. grow up! they’re all just actors playing characters.

talk about mismanagement. one of the very few good looking actors that can actually act but he just got back to back bad scripts after bad buddy. i swear he’ll be much better elsewhere but he probably just has lost interest in the thai industry.

can i just saw ive never ever felt this excited seeing a bl lineup? like dmd genuinely did their big one and i am shocked. like the freakin dmd i used to hate so much because of their cliche cringe dramas might be the one pushing this genre forward. they’ve genuinely grown so much and the diversity of shows they showed in the lineup was just… mwuah.

i’m all for holy two cakes situation. but this is what i wanted from gmmtv for so LONG. gmmtv fumbled so much bigger success by not going all the way beyond for their bls. sure their current strategy worked well but the way dmd is moving and adapting all these crazy scripts back to back, gmmtv genuinely might be in trouble one day. they’re wasting such a good rooster of actors by not having faith in them.

The director is Jeen Prach Rojanasinwilai, who did Clairebell, upcoming series "Happy Ending" and etc.https://x.com/chaipopadkhai/status/2067782972531736618?s=20
oh we’re truly in good hands. i know not many here watch gls but yall please just briefly check clairebell out. that’s what top tier directing looks.

hopefully domundi bags him for more shows cause we can get another p’aof situation loading with back to back cinematographic masterpieces
