and don’t come at me saying it’s “just friendship.” I’ve seen real-life best friends and countless friendship dramas/movies, none of them have this level of intimacy and yearning. A friend can search for and worry about you for few years but at some point they would try to move on or at least date someone instead of limiting their own happiness for 10 years because their friend disappeared.
The writer clearly wrote this as queer love but simply wasn’t brave enough to categorise it as BL.
Koreans need to learn from China how to make censored BL/bromance dramas without inserting a female character or reducing the female character to just a love interest (e.g - The Untamed and Word of Honor) or they should learn from Japan how to release bls without kisses or intimate scenes if they don’t want their actors to kiss (e.g - Cherry Magic and My Love Mix Up).
Instead they are releasing bromance dramas with obvious queer undertones while adding straight romance to make them seem less gay. they’re doing both queerbaiting and straightbaiting at the same time in this drama
