Great drama to binge watch in 2026.
I had so much fun watching this drama. It's one of those dramas that made me look forward to every new episode. The combination of comedy, mystery, action, and superheroes works surprisingly well, and the late 90s setting gives it a nostalgic charm that makes it stand out from other superhero/mutant dramas. The story stays entertaining from beginning to end.Park Eun-bin never disappoints. Every time I watch her in a new project, she proves why she's one of the best actresses of her generation. She can play literally any character and make it feel completely natural. Whether it's comedy, emotional scenes, or action, she delivers everything perfectly. She is such a versatile actress, and once again, she completely stole the show.
The comedy is genuinely funny without feeling forced, and every member of the cast has great chemistry with one another. Even though they're people with extraordinary abilities, they still feel like ordinary people trying to deal with unexpected situations. That's what makes the characters so lovable. The mystery behind their powers also kept me invested throughout the entire drama.
One thing that deserves more appreciation is the music. The soundtrack and background score fit every scene perfectly. Whether it's a hilarious moment, an emotional conversation, or an intense action sequence, the BGM always elevates the scene instead of distracting from it. It's one of those dramas where the music quietly makes every moment even better.
I can absolutely understand why this drama reached No. 1 on Netflix South Korea shortly after its mid-May release. It's simply a fun and entertaining watch with memorable characters, great performances, and a unique concept that feels refreshing.
And then there's the post-credit scene. As soon as I saw it, my first thought was, there has to be a Season 2. It feels like the story is only getting started, and there are still so many possibilities left to explore. Hopefully Netflix gives us another season because this cast and this world deserve it.
This drama exceeded my expectations. It's funny, exciting, heartwarming, and surprisingly emotional at times. If you're looking for a drama that doesn't take itself too seriously but still delivers an engaging story with fantastic acting, this is definitely worth watching. And if you're already a fan of Park Eun-bin, this is yet another performance that reminds you why she's one of the most versatile actresses working today.

My personal opinion.
This was a drama that had a lot of expectations surrounding it, especially because it starred two popular actors. The combination of their visuals and the beautiful overseas filming locations created a lot of anticipation, but unfortunately, this drama was simply not my type.The biggest strength of this drama is its visual presentation. The cinematography is beautiful, with stunning scenery, carefully composed shots, and a very elegant atmosphere. The drama feels like a visual painting, and every scene is aesthetically pleasing.
However, beyond its visuals, I found the story quite difficult to stay engaged with. The pacing is very slow, and the drama relies heavily on atmosphere and emotions rather than a strong plot. Many scenes focus on long conversations, silence, and beautiful imagery, which may appeal to viewers who enjoy slow and poetic romances, but for me, it became boring at times.
The chemistry between Song Hye-kyo and Park Bo-gum is pleasant, and both actors deliver good performances. However, the romance itself feels too idealistic and lacks enough conflict or development to create stronger emotional investment.
The drama has a very calm and mature tone, but that also becomes its weakness. There is not enough tension or momentum to keep the story moving, making some episodes feel longer than they actually are.

Bring back first-generation K-pop spirit.
As someone who grew up listening to first-generation K-pop, this movie was a wonderful dose of nostalgia. The film perfectly captures the era when co-ed groups like Cool and Koyote dominated the music scene. It's hard not to notice the similarities to Koyote, especially with Kang Dong Won's character reminding me of Kim Jong Min, who is still entertaining audiences on variety shows long after his group's peak.The premise is also a lot of fun. Bringing together forgotten singers from the '90s for a reunion concert immediately reminded me of Infinity Challenge's legendary TOTOGA (Saturday Saturday Is for Singers) project produced by Kim Tae Ho. If you have fond memories of that era, this movie hits all the right nostalgic notes.
One aspect I really appreciated was how honestly the film portrays the reality behind idol groups. It doesn't shy away from the conflicts that can linger even years after a group's disbandment. The story explores the painful reality that every group usually has members who receive all the attention while others are treated as little more than background figures. It also highlights how difficult life can become after disbandment, with some members struggling to build solo careers that never come close to the success they once enjoyed as part of a group. These emotional conflicts feel authentic and add surprising depth beneath the film's lighthearted tone.
What surprised me the most was how much the film feels like an early-2000s Korean movie. Instead of relying on exaggerated action, flashy visuals, or overly complicated storytelling, it keeps things simple and sincere. The humor lands naturally, the emotional moments never feel forced, and the unexpected ending ties everything together in a satisfying way. It reminded me why so many Korean films from that period remain so memorable.
The entire cast delivers excellent performances. Despite sharing the screen with many veteran actors, Park Ji Hyun never feels overshadowed and blends into the ensemble effortlessly. However, the biggest surprise was Kang Dong Won. It's been about 17 years since I last saw him play such a genuinely hilarious character in Jeon Woo Chi, and he clearly hasn't lost his comedic charm. Watching him embrace this kind of role again was one of the highlights of the movie.
I also didn't expect the songs by Triangle and Choi Seong Gon to be this catchy. They genuinely sound like they could have come straight from the '90s, and the retro production adds so much authenticity to the film's atmosphere. The soundtrack alone is enough to put a smile on your face.
This movie is a heartfelt comedy that celebrates first-generation K-pop, friendship, and the passage of time. It isn't trying to reinvent the genre, but it succeeds by reminding us that simple stories, lovable characters, and great music can still create a memorable experience. If you're nostalgic for the golden era of Korean pop culture, this film is absolutely worth watching.

The story and the awkward acting from FL are "beyoooooond godlike"
The FL didn't deserve the ML at all. In my opinion, she was even more frustrating than her stepmother, yet the story kept portraying her as an innocent victim. Her actions rarely matched that image, making it difficult to sympathize with her character.The writing was disappointing. Ironically, the characters who cheated seemed to see themselves as the biggest victims. Meanwhile, the ML was far too indecisive. He had someone else who genuinely loved and cared for him, yet he never had the courage to make a firm decision, which made his character equally frustrating.
As for the ending, it felt incredibly abrupt. Instead of providing proper closure or explaining the unresolved plot points, the drama simply ended, leaving many questions unanswered. After investing so much time, the conclusion was very unsatisfying.
Overall, this drama was a huge disappointment for me. If you're considering watching it, I'd honestly recommend skipping it, as I don't think the payoff is worth the time investment.
