They were married in the starting episodes (ep 4) by the imperial edict and are still married (as of ep 14) and as to what will happen to their marriage in upcoming episodes ... I dunno 😅

Romance hasn't started yet, except for occasional scenes where the ML looks lovingly at the FL.

Okay...let me explain...so in the sense of validity all the three marriages are valid... that is exactly why there is a talk of divorce (divorce can only be there where there is a valid marriage). Till now, we have heard that the divorce letters have been prepared by Wuyi only for He Yuan Ji (which she can take whenever she wants) and Xie Jia Yu (though Wuyi is reluctant to give that to her). Wuyi has already decided to take care of Rui Sheng and her son for rest of their lives as it would not be appropriate to free them because then Rui Sheng could be targeted by society (not because there is some problem with Rui Sheng or Wuyi just because society is shallow-minded and Rui Sheng also has a proper job in military).

Now coming back to the scenario , it was a slang by Xie Jia Yu that he has been married three times (and is a fact that he has been married three times) but none of his three wives love him. So, here, Wuyi replies that he has been married only once because in his heart for him his marriage with Xie Jia Yu was real for him and what he wants is the love from this marriage and the other two marriages has nothing to do with him in terms of love. Wuyi here answered in context of LOVE, just try to understand the feelings of a lovesick guy 😅 and ignore the logic for once.

Of course the one with FL because the rest two were purely fake, one for securing military provisions and the other to protect the dignity of his fellow comrade's wife so in his heart these two marriages were never a marriage but more like a comradeship.

I think she had promised Wuyi to help him find remaining phoenix token in return of her daughter's freedom so most probably she is looking for them.🤔

Okay,so Prince Qi, as powerless as he is,if he really thought he would be able to bargain with Emperor and Empress Dowager to help Wuyi and they will stop targeting Wuyi is already enough amusing and delusional not to mention the fact that he wanted to save the world from war but as soon as his sister's marriage came in question, he instantly forgot the people of this world whom he was vying to protect. We all saw how he attacked the people who were raising funds. These are not the actions of a man who accepted to be a regent to protect people from suffering. Let's see, is he the one who stopped the civil war here or an origin of a rather even bigger civil war in the future.

And why would Jiayu won't be there? Has she diappeared somewhere?Dude, she is waiting for him already safely with Wuyi. And yes, he may be caught in a scheme up till now but the Emperor already exposed the intentions of Grand Tutor before him. Now, whatever choices he is making and the guidance he asked for from Grand Tutor are his own free choice, neither manipulations nor any schemes.

So, Wuyi has a bad reputatoin?Really? Jiayu also thought the same that Wuyi has bad reputation. And when she entered his mansion she herself found out bad reputation was a bluff to protect his people. So, here, you are saying Wuyi gained power by being 'bad' and that is why he also has a bad reputation.Are we watching the same drama?

So, actions of Prince Qi are good that he is trying to adjust to politics for power and gain and asking for help from Grand Tutor and being a vilain. He trusted Wuyi this much that he became a regent to protect Wuyi and world. Now, neither he wants to cooperate with Wuyi to eliminate evil nor he wants to save the people of world from suffering instead he himself wants to become evil. He doesn't have a choice... seriously?

You are absolutely wrong here, just watch the beginning of episode 4 again, Wuyi clearly warned him not to accept the edict and Jiayu was waiting for him and if he accepted the edict he won't ever be able to leave. Yes, Grand Tutor forced him before the emporer but the emporer himself gave him the choice to accept or not. Now, you will say he did that to protect his friend Wuyi and people from war. Dude, Wuyi is far more capable to handle any variable that comes his way and he was all prepared to handle any situation that day because he had came all prepared and was aware of the trap. The only thing he missed that day was that Li Mao will enter the palace and accept to become regent.

Prince Qi's want for power was definitely not inevitable, it was his desire that was deep hidden in his subconscious and he was clinging to every bit of power whenever offered and reluctant to part with it whenever anyone questioned him and even his sister was sensing that. Was he seeing Jiayu slipping away? Definitely Not. He himself is saying that Jiayu will stick to him wherever he is. The idea to conquer Jiayu has already been planted in his mind. This is already enough to prove that he definitely is selfish.

So, he wanted power to protect everyone around him? Ok , I got it but seriously does one has to turn into a bad guy and a villain to gain power and control? Are there no just ways left to gain power as he is a regent now? Does trying to gain power means to lose your empathy and become inhumane? Is he really protecting anyone here or has he set on a path to destroy everything around him?

What's more pissing me off here is that they actually gave the ML and FL a happy ending by marrying them. The FL didn't deserve the ML at all. She should have been left with the SML.

It is more like the FL marrying the ML after having a tacit affair with the SML for a long time.

The writer has most probably turned into a psychopath while writing this story and created two psychopath characters ( TZ and LF ) to torture the viewers and the writer was forced at gunpoint 😅 to bring LF to her senses in the end and marry LXY so that the story could be completed otherwise this story was heading into an abyss.

Exactly.. And he is facing everything as it is nothing.. Always keeping a brave face.. And his expressions at the end of episode 8...........Just someone go and tell him that he can atleast cry or vent out!

Is it just me that this Li Mao character is already looking quite pathetic even when he is yet to turn evil?

Writers be like competing among themselves to see who can break up and get back together the lead couple the most times in a single drama. 😅

And I think they are damn serious about it!

Our simple and straightforward guy might get back-stabbed twice the following week.

The soul of this drama (whatsoever it has) is definitely being carried by LXY's character. Atleast he has a definite goal of what he has to do. First, it was to save his brother Lu, then to make amends with LF and protect her ( he never obsessed over her ) and when he realised his identity and mistakes in past lives, then to not repeat them and to take the demon clan back to homeland and prevent the calamity.

LF's and TZ's character were okay for first 10 episodes but TZ's character went downhill for the rest of the drama and LF's character also went downhill for next 20 episodes , only improving in last 3 episodes. TZ's character has only one goal to obsess over LF. LF's character first had the goal to find her master and senior brother but then we only find her hating and despising LXY and it was only in the last 3 episodes that she got some sense (dunno how) and helped LXY in preventing the calamity.

Many people here are cleverly covering for LF's shortcomings by overly emphasizing on LXY's little mistakes and making a big deal out of it and saying that who are critisizing LF are not looking from her POV and looking from an outsiders POV. So, lets take a look from some of LF's POV in the drama:

1. When LXY was tricked by immortal sect people into lying to LF in an attempt to save his brother Lu, LF be like ," Dude , you didn't trusted me, lied to me, I am gonna hate u for rest of my life, just get lost". What a great bond , abandon and torture someone who just lost his closest friend and brother.This extreme change in attitude of LF was the turning point for the drama to become dull and go into a slump.

2. When LF was captured by immortal sects and LXY saved her, and dude she just attempted to kill LXY without even thinking when he unlocked her powers, now afterwards when her two junior brothers were killed by evil demons, LF be like ," I am done with these demons and now will kill an almost dead LXY and completely eradicate his whole clan". Here she went against her own master's teaching who wanted to save demons and send them safely to their homeland. What a great disciple indeed!

3.In ep 30, when LXY asked for LF's help to send his clan back to their homeland, LF be like "Either take your clan and get lost or you will be my enemy and I will fight you to death". Dude she didn't even asked him what help he needed. She is beyond reasoning here and even looked down on her master's lifelong effort and death when she said that her master only died by doing everything he did for demon clan and got nothing.

4.Now , after the above scenario, sea calamity is about to arrive and everyone is in danger and LF be like,"TZ, time is running out , if marrying you will make u happy, I will marry u." What does TZ's happiness has to do with sea calamity and everyone's safety. Some are saying this was LF's clever strategy. What strategy? Agreeing to marry TZ was never a strategy. She only got to know something was off when after agreeing to marry she saw Miaoqing in wedding dress and noticed that knocking powder in her dowry.

5.Lastly, when LF is locked in house-arrest by TZ, here she clearly agreed that she knew TZ was after her divine tree power because only divine tree power could help him cultivate fifth level karmic fire and if TZ wanted her power he could have directly asked her. Dude, DOUBLE STANDARDS at its best here. LF has despised LXY for two-third of drama over a lie and here LF is entertaining TZ to the extent that she would have given her power to him if he had asked her.

This drama has NOTHING to do with Hindu Mythology.

If you mean strong by getting her Divine Tree power then she did get her Divine Tree power in last few episodes. Did she get strong? Analyse it yourself - Everyone wanted her Divine Tree power to get strong and become immortal but she herself was easily captured or made unconscious at will by villains. We only saw her Divine Tree power only in penultimate episode.
Was she useful? I have myself watched the full drama but I cannot understand wheter she was useful or not but she was definitely useful in irritating the viewers with her dumbness.

Too many good people died there especially the part where ML's all comrades and friends died in saving his life in the later half of the drama and ML was also badly wounded. Damn! That was some heartbreaking scene.

Then YOUKU should have protected us till the end. 😅 Why sacrificed us now?

I dunno about the novel but in the drama there is no clear logical explanation as to why he has been cursed.
First it has been told that he was a Divine Lord thousand years back and was destined to end heaven's wrath. Then no one knows as to how and when he became Yecha and was cursed because he caused immense bloodshed and took divine tree's power. And as to how and when he did than bloodshed that too no one knows. Pretty illogical, isn't it?

At ep 30... LXY is looking more like a disciple of Qingcheng rather than Lifei... Like how QC went out of his way for the just cause even being labelled as a traitor... hunted down for his own life ... Lifei for whatever reason it maybe looking down on her own master lifelong effort, sacrifice and death is looking such a hypocrite here. A character in beginning with a sole aim of searching for her master then in the end instead of striving for her master's cause and even shunnig her master's teachings. What a great character development and growth!
