Being true to yourself in your life
The Aromantics or Koisenu Futari is a series that asks whether people can be a family without romantic feelings. This series is really contemporary and handles romantic relationships with a more diverse perspective than generic dramas. Throughout the series there are instances of societal push back on the main characters for choosing to live in a way that's true to them. The characters develop both individually and with each other as each of those sentiments are presented to them. Overall the message of being true to yourself and not letting other people dictate the way you live your life is very heartfelt and cheerful.
