A real outstanding drama with a genius plot and brilliant acting
this drama gave me the chance to taste and experience real power and authority through a drama at its most, it is the first drama ever who was able to give me this feeling, what an amazing plot, brilliant acting, heartfell osts, and breathtaking cinematography.the chemistry between ding yuxi and deng enxi was absolutely amazing, the plot is really so genius, the idiom and wisdom in the drama were a real life lessons, and this drama is the only one who depict the reality of ancient china ministers rise to authority and power, instead of focusing only on doing the things through virtue and righteous, this drama showed you that these people's road was full of mischievous act, blood splatting and heinous acts.

Best Chinese movie i watched since decades
for all those people who are hesitating to watch this movie, i want to say , yes watch it, it is one of the best and most heart wrenching chinese movie ever, the plot, the characters, the acting, the emotions and life choices in this movie was painfully real and accurate..these types of movies where it will live within you for yearsWas this review helpful to you?
A one of a kind thriller drama
I recommend this drama for the people who love thriller and crime chinese dramas, because this drama did not disappoint at all !!this drama seem like any other thriller and crime drama at first, but the more you watch, the more you get intrigued in the unending cycle of legal and moral dilemma that the characters should have endure for the sake of something that it is already theirs but due to harsh compelling circumstance they can never get it in any other way...
i loved the ethical and moral dilemma, that dilemma that make you ask yourself if it is worth it to save someone or not, and make you ask yourself over and over about the meaning of justice, and how sometimes saving or helping another person can make you pay the price in a way you never imagined, this drama was a real masterpiece, and all the actors did absolutely great here played their roles geniusly..
