I'm in for North!!
Since I read the books before watching the series, my expectations going in were pretty high. Thankfully, the actors did incredible justice to the characters.
Going into the six books, I already knew who my absolute favorite was: North—someone who can always smile, see the positivity in everyone.
As for the series itself, I love Ter and Hill because the actors portrayed them so well. However, I felt like they dragged their story out across too many episodes, which cut into the time needed for the upcoming couples' stories. While the NC scenes in the books are way more fiery, I actually didn't mind how they toned things down for the series.
Personally, I don't love Ter as a character because their storyline relies so heavily on misunderstandings and a painful lack of communication. On the flip side, I do love how fiercely supportive they are of their friends. Their arc didn't pack a huge emotional punch for me overall, but I still appreciate that they kicked off the series.
For North and Johan—I absolute love them. There were a few details and changes left out of the series (likely to avoid spoiling the upcoming stories), but I genuinely wish they had included them anyway.
Overall, I love this series and have watched it a couple of times. Full confession: when I rewatch, I mostly skip Hill and Ter's parts (sorry!), but I still find myself rereading their book every time I miss them!
