Whatever flaws Lu Nian has, this is one accusation I cannot understand. He has been proud of her achievements, supported her career, respected how hard she works, and from everything we’ve seen, he has never tried to hold her back professionally.
So now she assumes the worst of him, blames him for something he apparently didn’t even do, condemns their entire six-year relationship as disgusting, and walks away.
And after all that, are we seriously heading toward three years of Lu Nian being the one who has to suffer, chase, apologise and prove himself while none of THIS behaviour gets acknowledged?
He absolutely has things to answer for. But so does she. If the drama dumps the entire breakup onto Luke after this, that’s going to be incredibly hard for me to buy.

To be clear, Tao didn't know Yuanzhu loved her, so I'm not blaming her for his feelings or saying she intentionally crossed a romantic boundary with him.
But it absolutely changes the context of Luke's insecurity. He already felt like a “weekend boyfriend” who was kept in one compartment of her life, while Yuanzhu shared her home, Luke, daily routines and a level of emotional closeness Luke constantly felt excluded from. Then Luke literally sees them hugging and crying together.
Was Luke supposed to somehow know, “Don't worry, this man who is extremely close to my girlfriend definitely has no feelings for her”? Because it turns out... he actually did.
And no, Yuanzhu dying doesn't suddenly make that context irrelevant. His death is tragic and he clearly respected Tao's relationship enough never to confess or pursue her, which I appreciate. But we don't need to rewrite everything that happened before his death either.
The irony is that people keep saying “Luke should know Tao after six years,” while refusing to acknowledge that Tao also knew for six years how insecure and excluded he felt in their relationship.
Neither Tao nor Yuanzhu cheated. That's not my point. My point is that Luke's insecurity wasn't created in some imaginary vacuum, and dismissing every uncomfortable feeling he had as toxic jealousy is way too simplistic.
