athlete's career is grueling but shorter compared to others. gotta make a living somehow after that coz earnings made in career earlier won't last a lifetime (unless you're among the best in a popular sport like soccer or hoops). switch to entertainment is easier coz they're already fairly known in public eyes and less taxing on body

if we're talking entire kdrama album then it's just DOTS and Goblin. Maybe IOTNBO as well. Stranger (2017) and D. P. (2021) gets the special mention.

nice article and the advice about trying out movies/ short dramas and switching genres is right. The ones listed here (except 'Reset' or 'Oh no....') aren't exactly something I would recommend to a slumped viewer though.
Also more folks should try year end kdrama specials or 1 ep jdrama specials. they're usually quite a breeze to watch.
Another thing would be to try some literature or documentaries.

someone said it right in the comments few weeks back- this is a 40-50 eps family drama made into a 16 ep format…
definitely some ott stuff here but yeah its more toned down. but there are family dramas out there that don't revolve around chaebols. atleast not as main ones. characters and dynamics in this are reminiscent of smth seen in those long dramas.

After completing the available 12 episodes, I'm writing out a bunch of my thoughts here. I think it's a nice watch…
someone said it right in the comments few weeks back- this is a 40-50 eps family drama made into a 16 ep format which explains the ott scenarios, quirky siblings, ML-FL parents rivalry, unneeded love triangle etcetera.

the more you ponder over the ending, the more it'll feel hollow like with the overall message and fate of characters
you mentioned about the fate of characters and I said its non conclusive. msg part is smth I feel was one tone and very superficial

my guess is he'll turn villain, unfortunately, for dramatic purposes.
this doesn't seem like a type of drama to do that
