I watched both seasons and yes she was saved by ML 9 times outta 10. it was tolerable in part 1 but unbearable in part 2. kept on watching hoping she would kick ass in final act but nah it was also all about ML smh.
not every production like say 'Through the darkness' or 'Hush' are good examples of dramas that kept the central idea (on which drama is based ) grounded. but kdrama romcoms most definitely can't be realistic coz that will take the essence of what makes it stand out. those tropes, cheesy one liners, cliche subplots are what it is about.
lol google is with everyone these days but comprehension sure isn't. atleast read what you wrote in the comment "accurate, detailed, unembellished depiction of nature or of contemporary life" kdramas have productions that come under 'slice of life'. but not 'realism'. latter is way more grounded version of the SoL genre. are you seriously going to tell me kdrama romcoms are realistic? at best they can be less tropey.
thats not the meaning of realism at all. and even if you're gonna gonna go by your made up definition, realism in kdramaland??? in romcom dramas no less???
couldn't care less if mermaid is offed but I think it'll probably be Hong joo. Yeon will be stuck in past in order to bring her back with that shiny quartz thingy. Moo young's bro becomes free and comes to kill Yeon in last frame.
