If it was sole political it would have been very heavy(quite a different genre)and all romcoms have another element…
Yes, I guess I can understand what you mean! But I don’t think it’s necessarily that she has become a good person now — I think she simply feels some remorse and finally wants to protect her child (finally 🙄).
I also think the fact that she was raised her whole life to become queen, without any real freedom, explains her mindset a bit. Of course, that doesn’t justify her actions at all, but it does make her despair more understandable when the king wanted to step down.
Now about Ian’s mother… I honestly have no idea 😭 I really hope we finally get some answers tomorrow!
All in all, the thing I want to comment before this drama wraps up tomorrow is that it was probably the most anticipated drama of the year, so many people had really high expectations and ended up feeling let down.
We can clearly tell it’s mainly a romance drama with some political elements, and unlike other dramas that try to include too many genres, these two elements were balanced quite well. Of course, like every drama, there are villain characters too.
IU and Byun Woo-seok play the main lead couple, whose relationship starts as a contract relationship. I also think that people who were heavily invested in other ships involving either actor may find it difficult to watch this drama and judge this couple objectively.
A lot of people also scrutinized their acting and chemistry, but from my point of view, both of them did decently. Their chemistry feels professional and good, and you can tell they collaborate well together.
So overall, up until now, I think it’s been a decent watch. It’s not my favorite drama, but I liked it a lot and I think it deserved the hype. Let’s see how it wraps up tomorrow before fully finalizing our opinions.
They could make it a perfect Rom- Com drama or fully political based drama. But no they choose both with So-So…
If it was sole political it would have been very heavy(quite a different genre)and all romcoms have another element to support it because if it s only romance it’s very boring!!I find the balance is quite ok because he was not a irrelevant person !he is the grand prince so they story is not off!it is justified and his traumatic experience being raised as prince also justifies his intentions about the monarchy!but of course there are different tastes among people so I can understand what you mean
I think im positively surprised at PM truly becoming villain, i didn't think the writers had balls to do it so…
Prime minister is really a sexy asshole!I couldn t stand him in this episode!I think if the Queen Mother really gets away without a punishment I would only be glad because of the cute and sensitive child she has!he has suffered a lot and he doesn t need more trauma and pain!but yeah she was a bitch till now!i m sorry i used these words but I couldn t describe these 2 characters any better! Credits to the actors for portraying so successfully these awful characters!
Ohhhhhhh….my god!what a mess!intriguing!I didnnt imagine there would be political messages and abolishing of monarchy!prince ian you rock!I like it!waiting for the ending episode💪🏻🫶🏻
I usually don't like to comment on actor/actress appearance. But can someone give Ahn Hyo Seop a new haircut and…
Oh everyone here has different thoughts on his best look!😂😂mine was in dr romantic!he was super handsome and I liked his personality a lot in that drama
Oh my god!it’s so sad!ok that’s life but still I wanted a closure for woo yun🥲!she got married that s great!but what about him?in the whole movie i got the feeling that she was ok without him but he really didn t have a life without her🫣✔️kim young kwang is so handsome!
Fuck!!! I'm tryna control my anger cuz of today's episode. Worst episode for me. Them writers did my girl character…
Oh I get what you mean!but I liked that she let aside her pride (the one intense thing she had as a personality trait) to her father in order to help the grand prince!that is the whole point of how much he means to her!this overreaction and turn off is to make this point clear!the love she holds for him that makes her scared af to look for her fathers help
After watching The Phantom Lawyer, I couldn’t help but come back to this drama. While the romance here is excellent, what truly carries the story is the chemistry between the leads—they completely elevate the entire drama. Even though the writing isn’t exactly award-worthy, I was totally hooked from start to finish. It’s actually the only drama I’ve rewatched so many times. I usually enjoy romance in dramas, but sometimes it feels unnecessary and more like a plot device than a natural development. For example, in Phantom Lawyer, I felt the story would have been stronger without it. Here, it felt just right—perfectly balanced(though of course it’s a different genre)! This drama truly raised my expectations—not just for both actors, but for romance in dramas in general. They managed to take a relatively average script and, through their chemistry and acting, turn it into something memorable and widely discussed—whether positively or negatively. I still find myself going back to it and comparing other dramas to it. For example, with Perfect Crown, I love the cast and I really enjoy the script—especially since I have a soft spot for royal dramas. The chemistry there is good too, but I wasn’t nearly as hooked as I was with this one! After watching so many interesting dramas lately, I’ve realized that sometimes it’s the overall package—acting, chemistry, and direction—that makes you overlook weaknesses in the script. And with this one I completely overlooked them!
But guys please be a bit more kind!plastic surgery?ugly???i ve seen fotos of her as a kid and she is literally the same!I am shocked when I see some comments both here and at the wtpr page both about her looks and yoo yeon seok looks!maybe they re not your type but definitely both of them are good looking and very decent actors!you are free to express your opinions but it’s kind of bullying when they are expressed so badly!be kind to people whether you like them or not!they are just people doing their job
I’ve watched many of her performances, and I find her incredibly versatile. I’d love to see her take on an antihero role—she would be fantastic. At the same time, she’d be great in a cheerful, uplifting role as well. I really became a fan of hers, especially after watching her in When the Phone Rings and I am not a robot. She has both a beautiful presence and a genuinely warm aura.Soobin eonni fighting💪🏻
