I watched this because of YamaPi and he didn't let me down, on the other hand I would have liked for there to be more of a foundation for the romance than just encounters decided by destiny, it felt lacking and forced, instead they focus on side characters which I felt like fast-forwarding through. With that said though, it's a decent rom-com.
From the picture i was expecting something really melodramatic, but it turns out it wasn't, it was very sweet and light, despite the heavy subjects that were discussed. The ending however left something to be desired, you can say they decided to support each other, but the relationship wasn't really romantic in the end, to me it felt more like they would support each other until they found happiness with someone else. At the very least I wanted to see a kiss since I was shipping them hard and it just felt like the writer was afraid of taking it to the end and honestly it felt like a cop out.
Guess I'm the odd one out, didn't find this movie funny, couldn't feel any chemistry between the leads and found both the romance and drama shallow. The premise was interesting, it just failed to move me emotionally.
This drama wasn't that great, it was rushed, the ML acting was horrendous and the directing was amateurish at times. The only thing it had going for it was the plot which was rather nice.
Yeah it's a horrible message, something that is one of the causes of Japan's horrible economy
Know I'm replying to an old comment, yet I have to say, this movie is korean... Also, it doesn't convey the message about gender roles as clearly as it does the importance of family, what she's happy about isn't being a housewife, but having family and feeling loved, opposed to earlier when all she had was money, it's more a message of "money can't buy everything" than anything else.
Watched 46 min and can't take any more of this, it's so childish and cringe. Yeah the ML might be 18, but he's acting like he's 12.. I also can't feel the romance at all
