That. was. PERFECTION! 👏👏👏 I know I can always count on Taiwanese BLs to deliver with the kisses and I am yet to be proven otherwise. Took us 8 episodes but I think we just got there at the right time. Nothing was rushed, nothing was taking too long, that moment was right were we need it to be.
I also want that we got a story behind Jia Kai's willingness to help all the time—that scene was delivered so well. I can't wait for the remaining 4 episodes, we all know it's about to be interesting from here on out. I am intrigued with Dawei's family situation, can't wait to see how that plays out.
I mean I was actually just expecting a romance for this one but those action scenes?! Give me more!!! 😅
No, but seriously I feel like the director for this has had some experience with action-filled series because the choreography and those shots are no joke. It's easy to show a gun and fight scenes and call it "action" but it takes a good eye to make it believable. Ohhh I know, sorry I feel like I'm way too excited for this—but am I wrong?! hahaha
Kiss or Kill, for me, is slowly becoming up there with Sammy's Children's Day as the best CBLs we have this year. I am definitely sat for this one. Please keep this excellence until the very end.
Ep 1-7: Where are the kisses? 😤 Ep 8: DID SOMEBODY SAID KISS?! 💋 WE GOT PLENTY!!!
If there is one thing we can get from this is that ruining the friendship may seem like a bad idea but if it just feels right, no matter how long the wait was—it will be worth it.
Overall, I think this is an OK watch, not something to be excited for each week but I've seen worse acting so I'll give the guys some slack. Story-wise, very simple and not really layered. Could it have added something on top to make the series exciting? I don't think that would've helped. I will give props though for making a cohesive story from start to end—we knew what we're getting at the end of the series and that was delivered.
I will also always love when a series thanks its viewers. That small touch of gratitude earns my respect for the whole production. One more KBL off the list for this year! 🥰🥰🥰
Rin, come on, everything you're doing is making that boy fall in love with you. 🤭
What I love from this episode is we got to see another layer of Khobfa's character, I feel like the series just made it seem lighter but if he's an actual person we know we'll definitely ask him to get some therapy because all that backstory could've turned anyone depressed.
I hate to say this but someone in GMMTV needs to tell Aun to let loose, that boy is as stiff as a board with his scenes today and we know he's not like this. I've seen him act natural in Revamp, and this is a step in the wrong direction from that series.
I was not expecting to see nipples today, let alone 4 of them. 🫣 but we are NOT complaining.
ok, what happened to "Hi! Hello?!" 😅 that definitely was a "head" start hahahahaha
nice first 2 episodes, we already understand the plot and what's about to be told in this series. I guess my only critique however and this is not just this one, I lowkey hate characters that are supposed to be nonchalant because the actors tend to act stiff.
Take for example Do Hyeon here, the way he walks just felt unnatural at least for me and I understand that must've been the brief for the scene. You can actually see how natural looking his character was when they were playing basketball with him moving around and actually smiling but then they (characters like his) tend to give out the dead stare every so often all because the character was supposed to be nonchalant.
Let's see in the next episodes, of course we're finishing this one 🤭
So I just started Ep 1 today and I know already this is one to watch and wait for every week. I love the height difference between these 2 because every time they're up close to each other, it looks like Tongtong's laser-focused on those lips like he's about to grab that guy's head and lock lips 🫣
Promising story, promising actors (I just found out that Boss is new to acting, and then landing on a Main Role right away along with none other than Tongtong)—can't wait every week for this one.
Me too! I thought the wife was a made up story at first, because how can a married guy suddenly turn 180 degrees…
I guess so, but I'm not 100% sure on the hidden desire. I think he just went with the closest option he had. He knew he had leverage against the driver and he used that in his advantage.
Maybe he really was planning something big for his wife and it should've earned him a good sexy time with her, but since that's off the table he can only rely on the driver and it just so happened it's a guy.
I would bet there's not even an actual cheating wife.
The sad part though is that guys like that exist in real life, working on other people's sympathy to get what they want. I feel like that aspect is properly portrayed here no matter how manipulative that may seem. The proxy driver does seem to fill in his part—a proxy to something that was "missing" in the other guy's life.
Now let's talk about the questionable story—yes, it does seem to be SA material in a soft porn media but the story was there and I think they delivered on that part. I would argue to put at least a trigger warning at the start of at least the series, if not in every episode because that act does not deserve to be tolerated on a publicly accessible media like this. It's a fairly simple premise—guy is poor, desperate of money saw an opportunity but got a different outcome. The other guy then used that to blackmail him to get what he wants, and the rest is just p*rn (no, just kidding 😅). It's not the greatest interpretation but I'd say those actors are good.
It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea but for what it's worth I'd say it's a decent one to watch.
I love how realistic both the characters are when it came to their relationship. The fact that the other was hesitant to try bringing his walls down again while still being afraid to do so and the other asking for more time to think about it, I feel like we're missing that from some of the other series.
I feel like we deserve a S2 or at least a special episode into the future, like where are they 2-3 years from that night? How were things since then? It might be a stretch but I will still keep this wish up in the air, just in case it comes true.
I love and hate how this series has been side-questing so hard and it's Ep 7 already 😅
I hate that it's Ep 7 and we still don't know why Great was transported back to this time period—was it because Gaew did die and somehow to fill that in, Great had to go back? Or is there another reason? With all that, at least with the side quest this episode we got to see Pin and Yam's story move further.
With 3 episodes left, I'm scared that there are still so many things we need to unravel and close so that the series won't feel like it's rushed in any way. I just hope they can pull it off.
Decided to watch it this morning because I was too tired last night. WRONG MOVE! 😅 I should've remembered last episode they were already almost naked hahahaha

we love a daddy DayDay over here as much as a rugged playboy one! haha
