Okay, so to sum up my expirience with this drama so far.
AI intro - I honestly don't care about it at all, I usually skip it anyways because half the time it spoils the whole plot, especially in c-dramas.
1st episode - I was completely lost. Didn't understand a thing about who is who and what's going on. If it wasn't for the link down below in the comment section introducing the main characters and plot, i would drop it right away.
2nd and 3rd episode i just pushed through, at least I could follow what's going on a little bit. I'm on episode 4 now and it starts to get bearable.
I'm going to give this drama until episode 6 or 7 and then decide if i will drop it or not.
This series should've been 16 episodes. They missed out on so many plot lines and character developments. I would've loved to see more scenes with Yi Yun (the young king). I would've loved to see more of the prime minister's scheming behind-the-scenes. The brother and sister-in-law. Sure, some dramas work better in 12 or even 8 episodes. But this one would have been so much better if it had been 16 episodes.
Unrelated to the article but can someone please tell me if there's romance in the drama "Mad Dog" ?
There is, but it's veeerry subtle, so if you want to watch it just for romance - don't. But if you're into detective and/or revenge drama (not the dark style) - it'll be right up your alley.
