Just finished all episodes (including the finale), I have to say... really loved the romance in this drama and quite happy with the ending with them both finally getting together and having their freedom, it's really sweet, both leads knocked it out of the park!
One thing I really did not vibe with on the last few episodes is how Xiao Wuyi did not tell Yaoyao about his plan with Li Mao, it does not make sense since one episode ago (I think episode 23 or 24 if I remember correctly, she showed that she had come to terms with his impending death)... so I feel like all those twists and turns up until Li Mao tells her were not necessary and were just there for the sake of misleading the audience.. the character herself (i.e. Yaoyao) did not need to go through this nor do I think Wuyi would put her through it.
But overall, loved this story from start to finish, and I do not care whatsoever about any nonsense age gap or that they did not kiss... the romance was really well done, just the eye glances between these two were so well acted that they're better than 1000 on-screen kisses. Hope they do work again together in the future!
