sakiko better then me I would of yelled at him during that freaking phone call and would have killed him the second I opened that door and saw his face. We both would of had dead spouses and one by my own doing
ep. 6 finished and another great one. we start off with a milk toast conversation overlay thats made interesting because we all know they are both casually lieing to each other about how good thier days have been which lays the groundwork for the arguement in the last half of the show.
Cut too Himari rejecting nihei and him just denying her which puts her in a wierd position but we know this is really more as a gotcha to Kazumi. I do think he likes her but I think he hates kazumi (and his job) more.
I'm obsessed with the look Kazumi gave after that phone call and smoke. cut to the house where he blatantly lies to her, cause hes lieing too her casually throughout the entire show to protect himself thinking thats what she wants to hear to keep her to stay cause of his TRAUMA✨️🙄 but in the end it is manipulative and the only one that sees that is Nihei.
The arguement was so subtle but done really well. loved the way they depicted Kazumi jealousy coming through even though he was trying to hide it.
The more episdes that come.out the more I enjoy this show. its becoming more and more realistic and better as it goes on I feel for the people that dropped it by now. its a real gem in the sea of other TL dramas. also feels like rei is perfectly cast for this.
I usually hate these kind of tropes, the terminal illness romances, which is a genre within itself in japanses movies but this one got too me. I cried so much even on the happy parts cause it felts genuine and thats how you know its good. 100/10 if I could and I hope more people watch it.
ep. 5 of this show was really good. im kinda shocked. With each episode this gets better. I have a theory that reis character knows hes fake and just all smiles cause of his childhood trauma which is why you purposely see in the first 2 ep as fluffy romances almost a basic friend's to lovers jdrama with very little substance so I like the trajectory its going and happy I didn't give up on it.
This is based of a Haruki Murakami book of short stories so I really had no idea how they would convey this into a movie format where the all had to make since together with desperate threads between each one, and i guess they did that to the best of thier ability 😅🥴. very strange movie
absolutely binged this entire show and LOVED IT. its related way too low (like every jdrama on mdl) but its fine. an overall enjoyable watch thats going in my favorites list
