Title My Royal Nemesis Spoiler
As of episode 7, My Royal Nemesis has lost its initial charm. The modern reincarnation storyline falls back into the tired "poor girl, rich man" trope, relying almost entirely on "destined love" with very little actual plot or motivation.
I don't feel any real chemistry between the leads. The ML’s pursuit of the FL mostly feels like filler, and he would’ve had far better dynamic with a woman of similar stature. The FL’s dream of becoming a great actress lacks any weight or conviction. For a cunning Joseon royal consort who reincarnates with her memories, suddenly chasing fame as a third-rate actress feels unconvincing and mismatched. Her over-the-top comedic mannerisms fall flat and clash with any sense of queenly poise or intelligence she should possess.
The character comes across as ambiguous and uninspired — neither a strong independent woman nor someone truly in need of saving. Her turmoils don’t connect, and she’s mostly just disrupting the ML’s life without clear goals. This reduces the show to the same old cliché: good-hearted rich ML vs. everyone around him plotting against the romance.
It’s a real shame because the premise had so much potential. A reincarnated villainess fighting for inheritance, legitimacy, or power alongside (or against) the ML would have been far more compelling. As it stands, the story is getting increasingly stale, and I’m not sure I can continue till the end.
Wasted potential.

Finally someone sees what is wrong with this show - Thank you!
Thank you for your comment. I'm happy to see someone agreeing with it too.

Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
This historical drama would have been one of the best one's with great characters and plot, with amazing direction and cast, if not for Changyu's character trying to be "I can overpower anything" everything femme fatale. Her character ruined the drama for me when she knocked out the Marquis in the middle of the battle. I mean WTF? She just with a few weeks of teaching from the Old Taoist and others suddenly becomes a commander and that too without doing anything significant to earn it! She expects an army to follow her even though she knocked out their leader?
Dropped at episode 30! Please, try to be subtler when inserting female empowerment or at the very least make the characters and plot believable!

Title Perfect Crown Spoiler
Up until episode 2:
Beautiful to look at, but not much of a story. The main problem is treating a modern constitutional monarchy like it has Joseon-era stakes. Without real risks, the royal family's "invisible pressure" just sounds like rich, arrogant people complaining. (like so many dramas before where the rich and powerful just needs a "commoners" life.)

IU and the Queen Dowager really run the show. The Grand Prince, on the other hand, has bad casting and writing. The script keeps telling us he's strong, but he doesn't get any respect on screen. The show also deals with social and class issues in a very fake way, using exposition instead of showing real, important effects on IU's character.

⚠️ SPOILERS (Ep 1-2) ⚠️

The Abdication: The late King stepping down doesn't make sense and seems weak. It's not a big deal to escape a life of guaranteed, unearned privilege.

The "Cold Mother": The Queen Dowager is cruel to the young king just to make him an enemy. In a modern setting, it's not necessary for survival, so her inevitable "secretly caring mother" redemption twist will probably not work. The "villainess" feels so uncompelling.

The looks are great, but right now it's stuck because of fake stakes and unearned angst. I hope it gets better!

I would have liked a UJI/PNK pair instead of KSB/UJI. Although KSB and UJI were lovely, UJI and PNK's chemistry could have made the show so much more exciting. Nevertheless, I loved the show and really hope this show was popular enough for a Hospital Playlist 3—fingers crossed!

I just can't help but imagine how wonderful a UJI/PNK couple would have been! KSB and UJI had some lovely moments, but PNK and UJI's chemistry could have generated huge buzz.
