i enjoy it! I'm surprised by how interested I am in the cases, and it's quite cool that they actually try to add occult elements to them. the characters are enjoyable and what I like about the cases specifically is the fact that the people affected by them feel real,like you can feel their grief and worries as they're affected by what happened 😭

This is not a harem story, so you dont have to worry about-- he doesnt have any relationship with the other women in the inner courtyard. To me the story is progressing smoothly. As someone who read the novel, they made many MANY changes which i am happy about. Like in the novel i kid u not i didnt like Shen ZaiYe till the very last arc lol. We dont know a lot about the actual villains atm, other than them being strong and doing whatever to get what they want.
Dont listen to what people are saying about the characters, expecially about TaoHua. To me the way they are acting and their reactions are exactly as what youd expect from people who went through what they did. There shouldnt be any betrayal on the romantic part, I mean theres the subplot of her being a spy and I think this will soon be resolved.
I enjoy the show a lot, just remember to not take anyones beliefs to heart and go into it to see if youll enjoy it yourself. It is darker romance, more mature, but dont expect happiness from the get go or smth, it takes a long time for them to trust each other, and lets hope soon things will progress more <3
