Don`t you think you are a bit too much. I will repeat what another person has said before too, for someone who disliked the drama, you are a bit too interested about it. You have expresed your opinion, then move on. You have every right to express your opinion, but that don`t means that we have to take every bad thing a person comment about this drama, especially if they express themselves in a rude way.
In your previous post, you have posted that "If you want to learn what a toxic relationship looks like, go watch this drama. It really explains what is not "love" and how a relationship should not be.", as if you expect everyone to agree with you, and not comment on this.
This is a public website, when people post something, they take the risk for someone to disagree with it, everyone can decide to share their opinion about something someone has said. This is also why i think a lot before i write anything in any website i share my views about something, things aren`t as simple as wanting to write my opinion about something.
The way you expressed yourself was really aggresive, like everything you writed is absolute, everyone should agree with you, and if we don`t agree, then something is wrong with people who like this drama. From the way you expressed, it also convey the fact that all the persons in a relationship has to behave in a conventional, accepted and proper way for other people to accept that the people in the respective relationship love each other and don`t have a toxic relationship. In real life, people are not perfect, even people who are confused, has issues to work on, who has mental health issues for exemple, and even people who has done terrible things deserve to be loved and be with the person they like. Even if a relationship don`t look as ideal, "healthy" on the eyes of others, as long as the persons involved in the relationship are happy, anything else don`t matter. Who we are to judge this. The relationship between Hira and Kiyoi will grow on time most likely, they do love enough for them to not give up on each other, and you expressing yourself like this means you don`t give them any chance and hope for them to improve in the future.
If you have writed something like this in any BL drama page, especially in any recently released BL drama like Kieta Hatsukoi or Bad Buddy, i am 100% you would have got the same replies.
Don`t be scared of me guys, i went a bit too far this time in my rant, i don`t know why i got so angry, usually i am more calm like this.
I just wanted to say after watching the 1st episode of Kei x Yaku I am in love with Inukai's Shirou. Inukai bought…
I really like Inukai take on Shiro. His body language express a lot of things in a short amount of time , he is fascinating to watch. I think it has taken me one hour an half to finish the ep because i keep replaying both Shiro and Ichiro scenes, and i do this only when the acting is good and i find that i need to pay attention more to understand the characters. There are a lot of moments when Shiro facial expressions says something but his body language does the opposite thing or betrays him. I can tell that Shiro has a lot of hurt, sadness that he tries to hide and that he is also tired of his lifestyle but at the same time he can`t give up on his plans, a really really complex character brought to life by a talented actor. I am excited to see what more will be revealed when it comes to Shiro, because he is still a very mysterious character too, in that a lot of things related to his real personality is very well protected and hidden.
I really liked the first episode. The chemistry those two guys has is as good as in other japanese crime/mystery dramas i have watched, but at the same time it has a bit more of that intimicy and how to say it better, tacit understanding and feeling like the characters were writed to click together, that it can`t be found in many other crime/mystery dramas. I found this to be really unique and refreshing. If anyone has watched the drama Sherlock: The Untold Stories with Dean Fujioka and Iwata Takanori, that drama also has a lot of bromance moments too, but i never felt that they have this closeness that Suzuki Nobuyuki and Inukai Atsuhiro has, and it`s only the first episode.
The acting is as good as i expected, the drama don`t disappoint when it comes to this. I have watched at least five movies and some dramas of Suzuki Nobuyuki and i really like his acting, it`s more subtle and quiet, but is always on point. I was really impressed by Inukai Atsuhiro, i didn`t realised that he is such a good actor, i have only watched him in Zettai BL until now, and i guess a more challenging role really makes one notice how good of an actor he is. Inukai Atsuhiro character is also more complex and charismatic than Suzuki Nobuyuki character, it has made me like Shiro more than Ichiro. I like both characters much more than i expected originally, and is all thanks to the good performances of the actors.
I can't help but feel that someone is intentionally down-voting all Jdramas on this site. Because that rating…
In general, the majority of Japanese dramas don`t have that much of a high rating in MDL ( movies are the ones with a much better rating), the majority of them usually have a rating in between 7.5- 8. 3 at most, I know this since i watch japanese dramas regularly. Japanese BLs, being dramas or movies are indeed in the lower part of this interval. I am used to this. Like hell, the movie The cornered mouse dreams of cheese has 7.7 and Cheery magic only has 8.3 , so yes i have nothing more to say.
Long time no see.I am really glad that you like this drama. It`s one of my favorite too. This is the only japanese…
I also think it definitely wasn't as problematic as most people made it out to be. I mean i know how the characters are in the novel so i am a bit biased, but even without knowing, in my opinion there are too many inaccurate opinions about this drama, because is not like the characters are as messed up as some really fucked up characters that can be found in other BL movies and even some BL dramas, for exemple.
The thing that has made this drama really memorable for me is how easy to relate with the characters is, i feel i understood both of them well, even more than how i understood Kyoichi and Imagase, and i think the revealing of the toughts and feelings to the audience is what contributed the most to this.
Anyway, hope Japan will make more BL dramas/movies with characters more or less flawed as the two in this drama and Cornered mouse....., because they nailed it at making those kind of productions until now.
Dang, I liked this. While I do like sweet & cute romances, it's usually the rather dysfunctional ones featuring…
Long time no see. I am really glad that you like this drama. It`s one of my favorite too. This is the only japanese BL that i really really liked as much as The cornered mouse dreams of cheese. So it has been about one year since i was so touched by a BL. And yes, me and other people i talked wished to be able to see a bit more of Kiyoi struggles and more of him basically, since they definitely had more material to cover from the novel, but taking in consideration how well fimed and executed the story is, for such a short 6 eps drama, it was a really satisfying watch.
The eng subs are really good, i am surprised. I don`t know from where the subs come, but are surprinsingly good. There are definitely not google translated subs. I think is the work of a fansubber most likely.
The first ep which is also subbed is out in Dramacool . I don`t know the fansubber website, so i will post the Dramacool link. Thanks a lot for the person who has subbed it, i did not expected the drama to be subbed this fast.
I can’t deny the fact that this drama is so intense and I was hooked from episode 1. I couldn’t stop thinking…
Glad you liked the drama so much. This is what japanese BL dramas/movies are best at, it always makes you feel things, being either positive or negative ones, most of the times both and if it has made you feel such intense emotions, it means that is a brilliantly well made drama in my book, one of the best that Japan has made and released until now. This drama is adapted from the first novel of a total of three novel series, so they weren`t able to show more about how they are when they are dating and how they are as a couple, but because they have more material left to cover and the drama was well received in Japan, we hope they will make a second season too.
Nope. It`s better this way.BL movies, and especially japanese BL movies almost never get as popular as BL dramas…
The drama is filmed exactly how a movie is filmed. This feeling is especially strong when i remember how each episode end, like is carefully thought. The length is also not too long, so it would have made a good movie too.
Life: senjou no bokura, Where your eyes linger and To my star are also filmed in a similar way too and each has a MOVIE DIRECTOR`S CUT version (basically a compilation of the eps in a movie), so i get where your thought has come, i also thought of this.
