Yes, i have the same thoughts about dr Ton. In the surface it seems like is pursuing Earth, but his actions don`t seem genuine and he is hostile towards Dr Sam, even through he is supposed to be a friend. I think it`s more likely taking revenge for something that Sam did to him.
