I agree. They're weird. We all have our most and least favorites. Heck I have a lot of criticism about certain performances.
But while those people only have eyes for one character/actor, they spend most of their time on others. Can't figure them out really.

People in this comment section would jump at any opportunity to sht on certain characters. And if each of them got 3 accounts, you can imagine the mess.
As long as it doesn't affect their favorite, and it's pretty clear which character they never nitpick.

Problem is, there's no guarantee that he was considering it. He could easily ask for the root and do something else.

He'd never believe an offer that important and leave his body without seeing the root. He'd definitely ask to see it at some point.

ZYC wasn't registering for national defense. He was having a conversation about their group of friends. And they were 6 friends. Not 5.

Seeing people's reaction, or lack thereof, to ZYC not even counting YL as a teammate, I suspect this isn't really about Ying Lei, but about ZYZ.

I bet if ZYZ had shown the twig earlier, just for it to be snatched away by LL, they'd be calling him an idiot for showing off their last bargaining chip while not in a state to protect it.

I get your point. And it's a lovely take. But whether I agree or disagree, what you said further cements that even without her, the ZYZ we know would exist. He'd chosen the road opposite Li Lun long before he met her. And would still dedicate himself to protecting both worlds regardless.

Knowing her and others only made him less suicidal. He still believed he deserved to die. He just didn't want to anymore. And it's apparent that while he would give his life for her without hesitation, she wasn't ready to do the same.

What affected ZYZ's character the most was Zhao Wan Er, his own interactions with the humans and maybe Li Lun. The ZYZ we got to know was the way he was because of that.
WX and the team only made him wish to die less. Which achieved little considering he still ended up sacrificing himself for them.

What I don't understand is your definition of "hero"

You call him a hero for what? WANTING to sacrifice? A sacrifice that his enemy ended up making.

Get a power boost? His enemy ended up having the power.

Killing the villain? His enemy did it.

Changing the world's racism? His enemy did it.

His journey? To find his enemy. Who ended up finding him instead.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying ZYC did nothing. But his role revolves around understanding and helping the main character solve things.

Yeah 😂 With their logic, if ZYC solved the problem with his life and ZYZ stayed and married WX, ZYZ would be the hero. "no question about it"

I'm asking what did this hero exactly do that "overshadowed" ZYZ for you?

And what exactly did your hero achieve? Find the culprits? Kill the villain? Save the people? Save his girl?

The entire story revolves around ZYZ and how he changed the perspective of people about him and demons.

That's the impression your comment gives. Besides, I didn't see any hateful or organized attack on the actress.

Criticizing the FL doesn't make anyone a troll. I read your exchange with them. The person even wrote their reasons as to why they're criticizing her.
