The plot holes are more in this version. I believe, At least there were motives for why they behaved the way they did in the original.
I actually do see the point of those that said they'd be more comfortable if they'd aged the actors to be college aged so they can flesh the storyline more. The main aspect of the original that gave it its flavour was the obvious case of infidelity btwn noh, phun and aim and the messy relationships btwn the other side characters. Which they can't show here cuz the actors are minors and they'll face backlash if they sexualize them too much. Which is weird cos i know those same people watched hit, bite love and i didn't hear no complaints 🤔

That was the primary motivation for still being with her even after falling in love with noh cos he didn't want to be the jerk that "took her innocence" and ran off. So cos the new series didn't imply that, it doesn't make any sense watching it that phun would still be with her cos there's no reasoning behind it
he also had relations with noh several times in the og so he also couldn't just leave him cos they already were emotionally tied together. That explained why phun was troubled and conflicted choosing btwn aim and noh. And noh gave him up cos he was the "man" and thought he could handle it.
So in this new series because they didn't show it, so now it just looks like phun wants his cake, wants to eat it and gatekeep it for no other reason than he just don't want earn to have noh. I like yuri. Even more than earn. She would make a good girlfriend cos her heart is pure. Earn would treat noh like a king. He rich
