I was surprised by the well done CGI effects and the realistic script. The underlining tone is a clear critic on the perverted education system and the treatment of the Sewol generation. They implemented these issues very naturally. I really liked the different perspectives: pupils behavior under adult guidance and their emancipation. The PTSD and mental breakdown issue is strongly ignored but so obvious - like in the Korean society who just started to look into this matter. If you don’t focus on the literal Sphere fight but have knowledge about the Korean society and customs you will have a blast with the show. If you’re only in for the action I can’t say much because this part was also well done. I really enjoyed the whole series and can recommend it. Tbh I’m glad I watched both seasons and I highly disagree on the ‘S2 is completely different’ or ‘I should’ve listened to the others and now I hate the season for the same reasons’ takes. Nah! The drama is consistent and shows growth. I don’t know why many people want to keep the characters on the first level of understanding the issue. It’s rather frustrating to see that many people doesn’t seem to have grasped the essence of the show. It’s a pity!

Sincere question: in which case do you use the SPOILER button when you obviously don’t do it when you spoil a whole ending of a show without prior warning? I’m honestly curious.

Imagine you’re shut off from everything that’s happening in the outside world and you lived with all the alien spheres hanging around for a year without anything happening. Immature kids don’t see the danger immediately and have to witness an event to make them believe. Like here. A perk of this show is that people behave irrational in panic moments and the drama really portrays that well.

Great drama. At times I would’ve hoped for the usual ‘more communication’ between the characters but I had a great time. I can recommend the show.

He always plays tough guys well but looks like the favorite son you want to cuddle all the time.

It’s not really a love triangle because the second guy is never considered as love interest but in it’s own head. The show is pretty forward considering the emotions. So it’s really pathetic to witness at times tbh.

Most of the time I hoped that a character would slap Cheol Woong again and again. He’s the definition of an unbearable character.

I think it’s always a matter if the show fits your taste or not.

I watched the movie because the drama is so slow paced that I wanted to know if the story is worth seeing. I’m glad that the movie exist - even when it runs super super fast through the whole story. Now I feel informed, did see a couple I actually liked in the roles and can peacefully drop the drama.
