Finally watched the last episodes. I don't like the kind of endings where they meet again in modern times and they just look at each other and it's over. I'm ok with this one because they both remember each other so we know they'll be together.
The way I see it or at least the way I think it happened was...all of then, even LY, time traveled but he was the only one that didn't remember time traveling because he was taking the role of someone that actually exists in that timeline. She and her family went back to modern times but he had to stay and live the remaining life of LY. When they meet up again time has gone by for SG while LY is still wearing the clothes from ep 1 so most likely he just came back. He probably figured the first place to look was where the portraits are or at least be able to confirm it wasn't just a dream. The reason he said he dreamed of her was because everyone around him (and her) kept trying to make them believe it was just a dream, but both of them know it wasn't...or even if it was just a dream, both of them still remember each other. I like that, as sad as it might be, she kept dreaming about him and got to witness the lonely life he had after she disappeared cause in my crazy mind at least both of them were suffering and not just him. The difference being that it was years for him while a year (maybe) for her. Overall I enjoyed the drama although I wish they would've cleared up the misunderstanding earlier so we could've seen them as a couple for a few episodes. I'm also still hoping for a time travel drama to have them reunite in modern times and then get at least one full episode or more of them together in that modern timeline.
I usually don’t mind those endings where the leads reunite in the modern era, even if it’s just a short scene.…
I took it more as modern LY time traveled too but unlike her and her family he ended up staying until he died in that timeline. He's still wearing the same clothes from episode 1 so he might have just woken up/came back and went to look for. The reason he said he dreamed of her is because everyone forgot and kept making both of them believe it was just a dream.
Haven't watched today's episodes but I'm going to take a guess it'll have an ending similar to When Destiny Brings the Demon and we'll only see them stare and smile at each other in modern times.
When Emperor JY was introduced never did I imagine I would end up liking him. Even more after seeing what kind of Emperor he was and yet I did end up liking him and even cried when he died. A part of me wanted him to live. I know he was bad but he was right with what he told his mom. Things could've been different. I have to say the actor, QTY, did such and amazing job with this character. I actually watched Skate into Love about a month ago so his character there was still fresh on my mind so him as Emperor JY was such a nice surprise. The complete opposite of his other character. He did such a great job portraying the different sides of his character and my god! His eyes when his love for the Princess would come out wow! You could see it and feel it. I'm talking too much about him but even though I love the leads, he's the character that impacted me the most and will probably remember.
Anyway, like I said I loved the leads. I like how we got a true enemies to lovers drama. Loved how they actually communicate with each other instead of having misunderstanding keep them apart. They protected, supported and trusted each other which is always nice to see.
I'm also glad to see how we got half siblings actually love each other and not turn on each other. His brother believed in FSG and was willing to help him. The sister did break his heart when she betrayed him but the love between them was still there. Don't agree with the sister taking over for the next 3 years but FSG and his brother never wanted the throne so...
I enjoyed every episode. For some reason it doesn't even feel like it's been 2 weeks. Time went by fast. I'm going to miss waking up earlier than usual just so I could watch the episodes before getting busy with life.
I knew the Emperor was going to get killed, you can see that coming pretty early on but I never thought I would actually feel kinda sad about it. I ended up liking my toxic couple and part of me wanted to see them with their baby. Sadly the baby will most likely die too from that stab.
It's a nice surprise to see the younger brother investigating what actually happened with his father and brother. It shows that he also doesn't believe FSG would ever hurt their father. Hopefully, even if it means bringing down his own mother, he does end up helping them and survive. We know FSG never wanted the throne so his brother could remain the Emperor because so far he seems to be good.
Hopefully its not express that we have to pay for.
That I don't know. I usually watch the express episodes somewhere else. Then I go back and re-watch them once they officially come out for the regular schedule.
Sometimes I like toxic couples so I knew I was going to end up liking the Princess with the Emperor. Right now there's no love between them but I'm still hoping they do fall for each other for real even if they both end up dying.
I usually don't like amnesia plots but this one is a memory loss plots so I'm looking forward to seeing him turn back to being her enemy. Haven't watched the previews yet so don't know if it's something that will last for a while.
I don't know if they already announced it, but I'm guessing the express package is on Oct 16, right? Cause ep 33-34 are that day and the 4 express would make it a total of 6 which is how they usually release them.
I won't be able to watch the 2 new episodes until tonight but I saw some clips and... Is it weird that I want crazy Emperor and dumb Princess to actually fall in love with each other and then die together?
If they didn't want anyone to know SHM had a child, they should've burned that test result not keep it. I know he had no reason to doubt Fang L at the time cause he didn't know how crazy she was but I'm surprised he didn't go an take a paternity test himself just to verify the one given to him....or his parents since they seem the type not to trust easily.
