I ignored the bg part that drama XD Whenever anyone mentions Neo I automatically think of the lost tomb 2 scene where he got captured and was doing just fine but when Xiaoge appeared he fainted XD XD
In Darkness has both manga and novel however the casting is so SO different from the novel and manga character design that and also the synopsis that I just couldn't connect the dot between drama version and manga version
Which is an indication that In Darkness drama will probably suffer like Killer and healer. If not even more T_T

I am not hating on Neo it's just when reading the novel and how the author described him and even if you see the anime one Song jiyang and Ding fits the role for Xie Lian. And as I have said I have seen two very recent neo bromance drama and seeing him in the third one...I don't know... I just wanted completely new faces rather than well known actors. People keep saying Neo is underrated which I don't agree with. He is not underrated nor he is overrated he is in neutral position which is the best imo. I guess I will let HOB surprise me with their chemistry
Wait a minute Ding Cheng Xin is supposed to be Xie Lian, not Hua Cheng at least that's what I heard. And people who are doubting Ding Cheng Xin because of his age this kid can act better than many current pretty actors just see his two short films. I am happy he is one of the main cast but as Hua Cheng? not sure just cause he still has a baby feature but his acting is superb. He will be perfect as Xie Lian seriously!
And seriously Neo again! Why not cast some new face! I have seen Neo in two bromance dramas already! If Neo is confirmed as Xie Lian I am not happy... I know how he acts and everything and I like him as an actor but I can't visualize him as Xie Lian
Just cast He Chang Xi as Hua Cheng. He and Ding has very good chemistry
In Darkness and another one's name is in chinese so have to search for it. In Darkness is coming out this year but unfortunately it is modern police bl so you can expect same type of chopping for that drama as well T_T

Also the actor who plays feng ren is also good!! They had a good chemistry...no wonder people wanted these two to be the leading role but it seems Ding might be playing the role of Xie Lian? Lets wait for the confirmation but I am glad that he is one of the main lead. He knows how to act..which now a days in chinese dramaland *sigh*
