Ohmygay thank you for the shout out usagi-san. You and including all the people you mentioned really made my days more enjoyable. I will miss you all after this drama ends. I don't think I will ever have this much fun in MDL again. Hugs to you all amazing human beings♡♡♡
Kurosawa's confession was so bittersweet. He was scared and his nervousness was visible yet he gathered up his courage and confessed to Adachi. You can feel his heartbreaking when Adachi lowered his head and for Kurosawa that was the sign of rejection from Adachi. The pain behind his smile as he retracted his hand back from touching Adachi's face was agonizing. As Kurosawa walked away from Adachi, you can feel that a heavy weight has been lifted from his chest but now all there left was the sadness of not getting his feeling reciprocated by the man he loved for 7 years and will probably for many more years to come.
Also for the people who badmouthed Adachi in the previous episode, this episode is a slap to their mouth. Adachi is not oblivious or dumb or pussy. We get to see that Adachi is aware and understands that Kurosawa is hurting because of him but he just doesn’t know how to communicate with Kurosawa. Adachi is also hurting in this whole episode it was clear that he never intended to hurt Kurosawa but he is a noob when it comes to romantic feelings and relationships and was overwhelmed by Kurosawa’s sudden confession. People like Adachi who can get lost in the crowd without anyone notices and get looked down upon by others have zero confidence that he can walk side by side with a guy like Kurosawa. But he also gathered up his courage and confessed. He didn’t even wait one whole day to confess and this shows that it was Adachi’s low self-esteem and inferior complexity was standing as a barrier rather than being confused about his feelings for Kurosawa.
Also, I don’t see many people talking about it but in the flashback, we see Kurosawa himself only noticed Adachi when they went for that business deal. The first impression Kurosawa had of Adachi was also somewhat not positive. He thought Adachi is a boring person and probably doesn’t know how to “console” others. However, for the first time, there is this guy he has known for what, maybe an hour or less, told him exactly what he wanted to hear all his life maybe from his colleagues or from his previous love interest.
It took Adachi only a few minutes to touch Kurosawa’s heart by his kindness. Kurosawa crying from being understood, for the first time someone “SAW” Kurosawa for who he is rather than his face was so sad. It just shows how our society revolves around lookism. And this series keeps us reminding us “Don’t judge a book by its cover”.
The beautiful thing about this show is that it’s about kindness, caring, and respect not lust or physical attraction or possessive and controlling love. Kurosawa didn’t fall for Adachi, a man, for his looks but for his kindness, for his clumsiness, for his cute bedhead, for trying his best to help others even though others don’t appreciate Adachi’s help he never says no to his colleagues. And same for Adachi, he didn’t fall for Kurosawa because of his looks or that he can use Kurosawa for work no, he fell for Kurosawa’s gentleness and the respect he has for Adachi, how much Kurosawa cherishes him for just the way he is and just like Adachi, Kurosawa also “Sees” Adachi for who he is. Honestly, for a show based on fantasy, I didn’t expect this series to be this grounded and fleshed out. Kudos to the actors for doing such an amazing job and of course to the directors and scriptwriters. Have high expectations from the upcoming episodes.
My comment might seem all over the place and it probably is but I am still overwhelmed by this episode so forgive me!
As a fan of the original novel, I'm also pained by the fact that the romance would be toned down for censorship.…
I am sorry where is it written that people are only allowed to write flowery comments and not to write about the thing they aren't happy about! It's good that you are positive about everything you can't expect everyone to be optimistic about everything. This is SaYe an LGBTQ related novel, not the TU or Immortality. People are already unhappy about adaptation and on top of that they choose actors not based on their acting experience (Talking about Fan) or because they resemble the novel characters no they choose these actors because of their popularity. To you or even to me maybe this is just another bl adaptation but imagine for the people who found representation in this novel. Look I don't want to start an argument with you but don't give attitude to others. You don't like negative comments learn to ignore them, don't "command" others to LEAVE. This site is for EVERYONE to comment on whether you like it or not.
If you look at how happy Adachi is in the promo pictures for ep 8... I wouldn't worry about Adachi too much ^^
Aaah so basically we will from now on see more original content rather than the Manga content. They might do the Parents meeting plotline. Just my prediction lol

Can you spoil me a little ? Will their relationship go smoothly from now on according to the manga or do i have to prepare for any villans or misunderstanding plotline?
