One thing we all need to remember is that all are part of Bai Jue's plan. Bai Jue saved Shang Gu and transformed into Houchi, of course he knows everything. Bai Jue also created another version of himself which is Qing Mu.
We already know that it will be happy ending because Zhou Dong Yu gave accidentally a spoiler about the ending in the drama press conference. That's what I know, idk how. So, stop thinking like we should stop watching coz the ending will be terrible! Don't judge Our drama based on some previews.

Debating wether to continue with no subs and possibly miss out on some key details (I understand general Chinese)…
I watched with no subs till Ep 38. My Chinese is basic, and still struggling to understand (Xianxia is harder). But, it's all worth it. I will watch again later with eng subs.
