The reason why I argue with people about Xilun is because they either try to make it mostly his fault that Heyue…
I think we actually agree on more than you think. It would be unfair to blame everything on Xilun, and I don’t think Heyue’s uncertainty or the problems between Hewen and Yuer are entirely his fault. But at the same time, you can’t outright deny that Xilun’s actions have an effect on the Hewen–Yuer situationship either. It’s a complex dynamic that you can’t reasonably say that everything is related or unrelated to him. That was basically my point from the beginning. When Xilun actively inserts himself whenever he sees an opening, that inevitably changes how the other people interact and respond, regardless of whether he intends to cause problems. Acknowledging that influence isn’t the same thing as blaming him for the entire situation. And when I said he lacks empathy, I was talking about how he handles certain situations, not claiming that he is fundamentally an unempathetic or bad person. I agree that his interactions with Qimeng show that he can be kind and considerate. But being empathetic in one situation doesn’t mean someone can’t be tactless or inconsiderate in another. People are more complicated than that.
I also don’t think I’m picking one fault and magnifying it. We’re six weeks into a dating show where these interactions and relationship dynamics are literally what we’re watching and discussing . I’m commenting on a recurring behavior that I personally find frustrating. And of course you’re free to disagree with my interpretation. I never suggested otherwise. I’m happy to hear different viewpoints. I just think there’s a middle ground between “Xilun is responsible for everything” and “Xilun has nothing to do with it.” My position is much closer to that middle ground.
having watched so many dating shows, I still want to express my thoughts on Xilun. I do understand some people like him, but for me its getting a bit irritating to watch him, and Im not even a He-Yue shipper, just a Kaiyi-Yiheng ship watcher who is curious about how this Quadrangle plays out. But man, this guy puts himself in between others the moment he sees a gap. People would say he is brave and all of that but I really dont like this "bravery". He is also lacks empathy in my opinion. For example Yuer didnt want to row the boat, yet Xilun still pushed to go check it out.
now Hewen is getting more proactive with his approach, its still down to Yuer decision about who she likes. In my eyes she is still drawn to Hewen. but honestly speaking she needs to do something about it and give some form of reciprocal actions to either sides. We are 6 weeks into this show and Im starting to find it dragging (must be worse for He-Yue / Xi-Yue Shippers). Does Yue-er like Xilun's overreaching approach or does she like Hewen, I really dont know at this point.
Hewen personality is the type to avoid trouble as I see it , hence why he likes to give space for others. Although very empathical, it could end up bitting his ass. He doesnt need to be as overreaching as Xilun, but he can also try to contest more.
anyway this Quadrangle , (more like Love traingle because I dont see Xiaoyu winning Hewen over) will likely play out in the last episode because obviously the editers feeds on it for this season.
Is it me or things are moving way too fast this season ? Couples forming in just a few episodes is boring if I…
its been like this since the last 2 episodes honestly. The only reason we are still watching 8s to know what the end game will be in the Love Quadrangle
I really don't want Meng Meng to leave early. I used to hope she would stay and just enjoy the free vacation with…
Its really sad for Meng meng , though you have to know that its just more tormeting when someone youre interested in doesnt give back any attentiion. Theres plenty of the show still left so I wont say its definitive but if she leaves its for the better imo. Can you really stay close to someone you liked, and act as casual friends? I dont think so.
I support so many couples, but for the main drama... what can I say....it has to be redemption arc from now on, RIGHT? (lol) if not then I guess its the only ship ill jump out of lol.
Neutral fan here but man I cant help but being curious about how the drama pair will end up being like lol. If there are to be anything to make them end up together it would be an act from God cause right now it looks like everything is going in the opposite direction lmao. not shipping them but like their line is so dramatic that I cant help wanting to know what will happen.
So having an opinion on soneones behavior automatically qualifies that individual as a hater and Heyue Shipper? How funny, Xilun interuptive behavior is a fact, and you dont have to be a shipper to see that. You can like him all you want but you have to acknowledge his flaws, and saying we are simply haters, shippers, and making assumptions that we wont have a plroblem with other participants wrongfull behavior is just being ignorant. And in fact is quite revealing about yourselves.
There is nothing between the two of them. The only thing standing between them is each other. They have more than…
right, if they were to end up together, they have to be in a date / be alone together at some point. Because, since theyre both not the proactive type, they get easily sidetracked by people around. And to be fair, Hewen was proactive, but Yuer keeps getting jealous man.
im just sick of people hating xilun for hewen insceurities.
So you think it is appropriate to force yourself in between 2 other peoples conversation? I dont know how yall in the West behave but in our Chinese society, we find this very over the board and disrespecful. And often times gets you into trouble ^^. Hewen insecurities stems from the fact that he sees a man glued to Yuer's ass, and im not saying that Xilun is responsible for all of their misscommunications but he is part of the problem.
have to say man, why is there always something in between Hewen and Yuer? feels like in each circumstance, there's always something that makes them not have a moment alone together. And to think about all of them, almost none of them are faults by them. I also have to note that almost everytime they would have a moment to interact with each other, xilun would purposely put himself in between and interrupt them. Something about this doesn't sit well with me tbh
This comment section is unnecessarily harsh. I understand the need to compare to the Japanese original, but this movie works well on its own, in my opinion. I don't usually cry, but this one did. I understand the original may be better, but this movie deserves praise as well. Also, some people say there's no chemistry, seriously? Have you watched the movie with a clear mind? Or were you expecting an exact replica of the original movie? The chemistry/acting was fine in my opinion.
I'm probably going to be insulted by Leyuan fans again. I, but I genuinely feel bad for Duoduo. Lechen, to put it simply, is making himself unlikable. He is free to say he doesn't want to go. Right. But I think he for sure had to say it directly to Duoduo. He may have given hints of his preference, but frankly speaking, he has been avoiding making it clear throughout the show. For him, it may have been clear...in his mind; for Duoduo, it clearly was NOT. And viewers insulting Duoduo for this are just immature, in my opinion. Yeah, you have the god's perspective on the relations; of course, it's clear to you who Lechen likes, but it is different from their point of view. And yeah, avoiding issues like this speaks volumes about Lechen's personality.
In a previous conversation he had with Duoduo in the car, Duoduo mentioned that she's the type to take relationships seriously. Once she decides on a relationship, she'll start thinking about marriage and having children with that person. This statement is perfectly normal; most traditional girls I know think the same way. But Wang Lechen's exaggerated, surprised reaction immediately became a famous scene, giving observers and the audience the impression that he was portraying Duoduo as a quirky woman who desperately wants to get married and forces the male guest in the room to marry her right there. This was his reaction.
If he were truly a perfectly normal man, he would have expressed his opinion calmly and with a smile after hearing this. Had he done so, I believe the online comments about Duoduo wouldn't be so extreme.
Is it just me, or do I feel disgusted at some Cnetz post on Jiaozhiheng? Like they are insulting/characterizing him as a dog, as they think he is "sabotaging" Rulan and Fang's relationship.... Like, come on... maybe it's not reciprocal, but give the man respect for chasing who he likes. Not many men have this courage nowadays.
