Title The Last Immortal Spoiler
I was watching episode 35 again and I have a deeper insight to that "dream"....Hear me out , this is how I personally…
I honestly felt like what happened in that dream was REAL. Yes, it's a dream but everything that happened in that dream was controlled by their actions, they are conscious in their dream.

To me I believe that dream happened is like a reflection to Feng Yin's feelings for Yuanqi after she learned the whole truth from Hong Chou(she finally said something that doesn't piss me off!).

Before all this, what FengYin was disappointed in Yuan Qi was due to that misunderstanding that she formed on him where she thought that her life significance and status as A-Yin being the water divine beast is not in equal status to him as True God, and she misunderstood Yuanqi being the same as his aunt Hong Chou for caring about this whole status hierarchy.... It doesn't help when Aunt Hong Chou was there to cause more unnecessary misunderstanding to build on her insecurities as A-Yin.

So when she returned as the Phoenix Queen, Feng Yin, which everyone looks up to, she thought Yuanqi "loved" and pursue again is because her identity now is more of equal status to him. But she was wrong. When that dream happened, it was a reflection to her strong feelings of regret that she wanted to go back to those happy times in Daze mountain days, before all this misunderstanding occurred.

It was also Yuanqi way of fixing his mistakes as well to make things right. What he said are things that happened in the present time, e.g. how he found out the truth that it was Fengyin who helped him back then and not Bitch Huashu.

I actually love how that dream was shown because I said it in here previously when I first watched that episode, that I felt sorry for Yuanqi because he never properly gets to celebrate his birthday with his parents before all this 😭.

So when A-Yin said "Happy Birthday" to him in her dream, it was her way of fixing her regret because in reality when it was Yuanqi's birthday she didn't wish him a happy birthday and she was still pretty cold towards him back then too ... So I love how she said that in her dream and how she told Yuanqi that she want to always be there with him to celebrate his birthday every year. That was so touching for me personally, because this is a reflection of how she really feels. She wants to always be there with him to celebrate his birthday and all those times they can to create those beautiful memories together.

Yuanqi doesn't need a grand celebration (like what HS prepared for him), all he wanted was to celebrate his birthday with those he loves, even if it's something simple like what we saw in that dream.

I'm happy at that scene because what A-Yin said to Yuanqi is what I want her to say to him. On his birthday he didn't need to feel alone anymore, because she will always be by his side to celebrate it with him. That was such a meaningful thing to say(since I felt sad for him prior to all this).

Yuanqi wished A-Yin a happy birthday back then, and now, 1000 years later she did the same for him 😭😭😭

And good thing for Yuanqi because he can also use this moment to fix his regret where he wasn't able to back then, he really wanted to tell A-Yin back then that he loved her, but he never got the chance to , which his strong feelings of regret was manifested into his own dream back then when A-Yin was gone. It is nice that they both can go back to those days, despite it being a dream but they are both conscious in their actions etc and have this chance to confess his true feelings to A-Yin that the person he truly love back then and now has always been A-Yin. It isn't because A-Yin have become FengYin with a high status that Yuanqi love and pursue FengYin but it is because FengYin is A-Yin, they are the same person to Yuanqi, and his love for A-Yin did not start off because of his gratitude that she saved him back then, but it was because his feelings for her developed through their time together when he was Gujin and she is A-Yin. I honestly think deep down, this is the answer that Fengyin wanted to hear from Yuanqi, because her moments when she was A-Yin is what developed her into the Fengyin that we got 1000 years later.

I am rewatching from the beginning and has more appreciation for Gujin character perfectly portrayed by WAY. All…
Of course after watching the whole story you will get a better understanding to why he, as GJ back then felt that way.

Usually second watch makes you notice and appreciate things that you could have missed on your initial watch.

I've come to love Gujin's character too and WAY did a great Job portraying the difference when he's Gujin and True God Yuanqi

Yuanqi had no intentions to kill A-Yin.He only wanted to save her from taking the heavenly punishment which will…
Yeah she wanted to die at this point anyone can feel what she was feeling

That's why I said in YQ views. From his views I understood and I couldn't fault him for what he did, since it was explained.

But AY didn't know, to me, YQ really did all he could to protect her. It's just that... that scene was inevitable and it needed to happen to kick start the developments .

Ep 1-18 meh 7 out of 10 Ep 19-40 Really good 9.5 out of 10. Overall 8.5/10.Things that i loved:1. OST 2. Full…
Yuanqi had no intentions to kill A-Yin.

He only wanted to save her from taking the heavenly punishment which will result to her death.

In YQ views he didn't know that her immortal core was destroyed by that bitch HS earlier.

So looking at how that scene played out, I can't fault YQ for what happened since if you look at the context we cannot blame him as he only was going to seal her immortal bones, not kill her but because of what that bitch did to her prior, it was inevitable that she "died" by YQ hands.

It is sad and they are both victim in that scene. Maybe YQ most of all because it would hurt him 1000 times to have been the one to kill her when his intentions was to only protect her away from all the people who target her for the punishment of taking the heavenly thunder...

If what Yuanqi is doing is hero complex then basically everyone who has done a similar thing have hero complex.Yuanqi…
Yeah selfless and selfish is two sides of the same coin. We just have to analyse the situation and say whether it's this or that.

For me, I love that selfish side to him that he cannot back down or gracefully hand her to anyone else, in a romantic aspect otherwise I wouldn't have love him for stealing the bride πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ but hey, love can be selfish sometimes lol 🀣

But I still love Yuanqi as an overall character, he's really grown on me throughout the story

Episode 37: i suddenly felt that Yuan Qi kinda greedy and have a hero complex and kinda suicidal as well. I mean…
If what Yuanqi is doing is hero complex then basically everyone who has done a similar thing have hero complex.

Yuanqi didn't do it to be a hero. In my opinion, he did it to make up for for what has happened to Daze mountain which has affected both him and A-Yin deeply. Fengyin also said in the same episode her greatest sin was the things she did have lead to the destruction of Daze Mountain and what Yuanqi did has helped her redeemed her mistakes.

Greedy as in him taking all the sacrifice and punishment for her and not sharing this with her? I actually saw that is his way to protect her and express his love for her. No one in the right mind, if you love that person so much will you want that person to go through the same pain and torture as you're suffering . Sharing the same happiness then yes, and we saw that because despite he knows he doesn't have much time left, he just wanted to stay by her side and use the remaining time he have left and do his best to make her happy (to create those happy memories together without regrets).

In terms of his character overall, I will say that Yuanqi is a self-sacrificing character (like his father), who will go through great lengths to protect the woman they love respectively, and this is more of a SELFLESS act to highlight his love for her.

Whether you love a drama or not, we cannot tell you , yes you will love it or no you won't because this all runs down to a personal preference and what appeals to you when watching a drama.

We can never be on the same page about loving the same thing and that is completely fine, because what appeals to us may not appeal to you the same way. I also don't like some of the popular xianxia that is on the others recommendation list, but I just avoid mentioning that drama name personally when I am making a comment or I will do the best I can to stay away from those comments to not cause an uproar.

I don't know why this page suddenly turn into random actors and actresses. It's so out of topic. Why people start mentioning random stuff is beyond me.

I miss those days where I can come in here to read about other opinions about the scenes and sharing our thoughts about the episodes. Even when we may have a different opinion.

Well new watchers in here, have fun watching this drama on your end, whether you like it or not , is entirely up to your taste and preference. I personally recommend TLI on my end because I do love the drama on my end. At the end of the day, you can take a step back and give this drama a chance and watch it for yourself to see whether you like it or not. If you don't like it then that's fine but if you do like it, I'll be here to welcome you in advance as I'm always happy to see people enjoying TLI and loving it!

P.S. No dramas is 100% perfect. Some drama have great CGI, but failed in character development and stories. Some dramas don't have the best CGI but have good character development so you can take your pick...

Can someone tell me is this series worth it( the story )?
Yes! The developments in the characters to show their growth and the writers putting in an explanation on the ending makes it worth it.

Do check this drama out with an open mind because personally I think people who don't watch this and listen to those bias haters will just be a sad miss.

Preference is one thing but give the show a chance. I personally loved it.

Does this drama have happy ending?
It's a happy ending that makes sense.

We (well, most of us) just want a more satisfying ending for the main pair: Yuanqi and Fengyin though.

Exactly despite we all have our preferences on which appeals to us more. As long as we watch the drama with an open mind and understand the character and their actions then that's what counts.

I just don't agree with people who biasly hate something for the sake of ruining it for others enjoyment though

Yeah I have seen some of them from ALP fans hating on TLI to make their drama the better one that's why I didn't like seeing them on my end in here because I wish we have more peaceful ALP fans and TLI fans who can enjoy their favourite drama without biasly hating on one side.

Preference is one thing but to biasly hate on something just to make their drama the better one doesn't do their drama any justice or give a good light.

On my end I just wish people in here don't all take ALP fans as a troll or hater because of those trolls, because really, there are genuine fans who love both ALP and TLI just as much. Me being one of them.

That person wasn't a hater for TLI though.

Just because he/she referenced ALP doesn't mean she's a bias hater for this drama.

I'm a fan of ALP but it didn't stop me from loving and enjoying TLI

I honestly wish we have more peaceful ALP fans who can love and enjoy TLI as well.

I wouldn't be rude to any ALP fans personally because I don't see a reason to do it since we share the same love and getting into something which may potentially be of interest to them.

People who comes from ALP may not necessarily be a hater. I hope people don't be quick to label all ALP fans as a bias hater and not give them a chance to enjoy or love TLI.

I actually welcome more ALP fans into TLI and hope they will enjoy and love TLI too.

in terms of modern drama ...i only wants to see chenzhe yuan with her once more ...
Lol, not necessarily "I want her to make a drama with everyone", just to correct you there .

The only reason I reference I want her to film another drama with WAY in a modern drama because I want to see them collaborate again because (1) I love her chemistry with WAY and this is the main reason (2) because I want to see an extension of (one of my favourite onscreen couple) them getting a more fulfilling and satisfying happy ending in a MODERN drama.

Noticed I said Modern and not xianxia because I lost hope in xianxia ending for a satisfying ending on my end.

I said I wouldn't mind her being in another drama with CZY because the user who replied to me said it... And I'm like "Well I'm not against it since I love her and CZY in HL on my end")

As for YY, no comment about that , whether they film another drama together or not , no comment from me although I do like them in WRTW.

So for your correction I DONT need her to film a drama with everyone, or feel strongly with the other actors she collaborated with. So don't put words in my mouth and misjudged me.

My Initial post was only referencing WAY.

My second reply was to respect the person who replied me and I'm not against it.

Your post reply is putting a label on me by saying "i think you wants her to make drama with everyone", that's false.
