Ep 24: why is QF blaming FY for all his woes . When everything happened they were both kids . And Bai Shuo was…
Its like what Bai Shuo said. QF needed something to help him persevere to live on, and hatred was what he held onto.
Given what has happened to him in the past as we've been shown, it was sad for someone his age to feel abandon by his grandfather, yet despite he was taken away and escaped, when he found out that FY is still alive, he was happy on his end. Until the out of control CS came and did that to him. Then afterwards ZY took him to the Cold Spring palace and he endured all that for years.
Personally for me, I felt sorry for QF. I am not saying his misplaced hatred for FY was right but it is understandable like what Bai Shuo said made sense(at least to me), that QF "hates" FY because he needed something to "hate" and something to hold onto. His hatred for FY was not only pure hatred alone. He "hated" FY because deep down, underneathe all this hate, QF still cared about FY and can't forget about him.
Hate and Love are 2 sides of the same coin. But hatred was the feeling he held onto to survive in that harsh environment he grew up in. I dont think QF hated FY because he showed me that after he escaped and went back to the Baize clan, when he found out FY was alive, he was happy and he waited for FY at Baize clan, but in the end we know how it all turned out.
I am not trying to speak up for CY crimes in hurting innocent people, nor do I agree that he should place this hatred on FY alone but given that we try to see this from QF pov, it is understandable and BS actually said it: "You don't really hate Fan Yue, do you? But sometimes hatred is more powerful than love to make a person go on living. You've been suffering alot these years. If you haven't had a way to vent your anger, you may not have persisted. But the Baize clan and the Tiger clan doesn't exist anymore. The only one you can hate now is FY who is still alive. You hate him because you still care about him. You can't forget about him" <- what she said had hit the point otherwise he wouldn't have reacted the way he did to her.
He didn't chose to go on this path if there's a choice. If someone other than ZY found him that day, if it was FY that came back to him(as we saw he was waiting for FY), he probably will turn out to be someone different. Someone who will be the right hand man beside FY just like how TH and CS is. When he said that to FY about how he's not TH and CS, and he's just someone working under ZY... i sense he was jealous of TH and CS on his end.
for real, I actually love his charachter somehow π this actor does well portraying emotions
Lol i also find him handsome but his cold and ruthless character at first made me not feel anything for him other than that attractiveness. But now, after the back story was revealed and his interactions with FY. I do come to love him on my end now π€

IKR and same here ππ
I honestly didn't think I would love his character somehow but after the latest arc, I came to love him on my end.
Before all this, his character feels like a cold, ruthless and emotionless person, but who would have thought that he is actually the king of these emotions. And they all felt so genuine as well.
You know the thing is when CY was captured, he could clearly use his powers on FY to fight back(and defend himself) but he didn't when FY was using his powers on him. That to me shows a lot on how he feel about FY.
He surely did not hesitate to use it on the last surviving member of the tiger clan until FY stopped him.
I believe deep down, underneathe all this "hate", he still cares for FY like he once did. If he doesn't care for him, he wouldn't express these emotions when FY was saying all this to him. For me, I really love the interactions between FY and CY(QF) to be honest, they do have that chemistry as brothers, and I hope QF/CY will have his redemption arc.
I didn't think I would like CY but I came to love him now π₯Ή
Before the hatred arc, Chen Ye to me was heartless, and pure evil.
But after watching this current arc, I am taking it back what I said about him.
Kudos to the actor, he is really good at playing out these emotions.
I love those scenes between FY and QF to be honest. Their dialogues and the way they played their emotions really bring out the emotions in me when I watched it.
Maybe in the end QF can fulfill the promise he made to his grandfather back then π₯²
Tbh, QF hatred for CS and the stone clan is justified imo. What the Stone clan did back then was terrible, and…
The actor that played QF really did a great job with playing out these emotions!
I love their moments and dialogue too. I know the words coming out of QF hurts but I still believe that he does care for FY as his remaining family even when he doesn't admit it.

Yes he is living on from this hatred, just like what Bai Shuo said to QF when she confronted him and said that he doesn't really hate FY, but he needed a purpose and because of all the injustice that happened, he can only feel that way towards FY (not that I am agreeing with QF for having that "hatred" on FY though).
Tbh, after watching episode 25, I don't think he really wanted FY dead, somewhere deep down, a part of him still cares for him, otherwise he wouldn't have expressed the way he did (kudos to the actor though), and if you noticed when FY told QF that when that time comes, he will return his life to QF. For a moment, even if it was just a second, what FY said had hurted QF and that subtle expression tells me he never wanted to kill FY on his end.
QF actions to hurt those innocent lives is wrong, but imo, his hatred towards the Stone Clan, CS and the Tiger clan isn't without reason and it is justified if you try to see it from his perspective.
From his flashback you can see he really do regard and see FY as a family of the Baize Clan.
I want a redemption arc for QF, and who knows maybe QF will sacrifice himself in the end to protect FY just like the promise he made to his grandfather, he will protect FY with his life.
Everyone can redeem themselves. It depends on whether you will give him that second chance. QF is a redeemable character in my eyes from what I am seeing so far.

In the trailer it said FY is "ε¦η₯" which that in translation is Demon God. Not "Demon Lord". The word η₯ is "God/Deity", not Lord.
Jing Yuan (which his original name is Tian Qi) is among the True God, and he's the Demon God.
Mo Li to me is more of the Devil God if he is really Xuanyi's reincarnation.

I believe he still does now, even when his "hatred" is stronger.
I didn't think I would like their screentime as much as I do before all this.
When FY said that to QF, I cried too, but if you paid attention to QF subtle reaction to what he said felt like what he said had hurted him too!! π₯²
