30 episodes in and loving it.

I've tried to binge this drama but 40 eps is too many to binge. So, several marathons of episodes later, I am addicted to this show. I love the characters, the story and the tennis! OMG the action is amazing in this show...and I'm not one to follow tennis at all. This drama is adapted from a manga (which I have not read) but the audience can almost see the images from the manga in the characters on the screen - the way they move, their 'special' skills, their expressions - completely addictive. I was expecting the usual plot...a few fab episodes (maybe 10) then...the story starts to drag....the repetitions begin...the weird plot twists and antagonists that make no sense...The Prince of Tennis somehow avoids that by sticking true to the plot of a team of athletes working towards a common goal - the "Nationals" championship. The audience sees the training, the psychology, the injuries, the arguments, the conflicts with rivals, the bromances. I can't wait to watch the team at Nationals!!!

Baseball fan

I'm a baseball fan (my son plays) and I am impressed that the writers wrote well about the technical aspects. I'm already regretting watching the first episode as I have to wait a week to find out why the new General Manager wants to trade the star player against the advice of, literally, everyone. I'm so excited to see the new GM learn the intricacies of baseball - obviously he already knows how to manage a team and he knows how to deal with athletes as he's performed exceptionally well at those for handball, wrestling and hockey teams (all of whom won their competitions). I am also really liking the female lead, a passionate baseball lover who is desperately holding onto her faith in the team as they embarrass themselves (both coaches and players). Best scene->never have I ever seen a team fighting ITSELF in the dugout.Even if you are not a fan of sports dramas give this one a try.

So cute

What can I say? Not the greatest acting by the EXO boys but they definitely showed promise. They didn't embarrass themselves and have since gone on to bigger and brighter works. The female lead and her brother are very, very good. I laughed (and cringed too) as the FL bought a packet of personal items...who hasn't felt exactly the same way. Over all, a really sweet little time filler. Exactly what I was looking for.

Why am I 24 eps in?

So, I'm 24 episodes in on this marathon and I'm questioning myself. The writing is often unbelievably frustrating...I would have reported the 2nd lead male to the police as a legitimate stalker...I want to slap the 2nd lead female for continually grabbing the male lead even though he is clearly not in to her. So many plot devices to keep the romantic leads apart yet the two of them are so damn cute I have to keep watching them. I will complete this drama for them.

Midway through Ep 4...

Finally an OST I can rave about. Usually I completely miss the OSTs for dramas because they are bland and boring. The OST for Sugarless is on-point! It completely suits the setting, the youth of the characters and the fact that they are usually beating the s**t out of each other. Sure the shirtless guys, the tank-top guy, the guys in floral shirts are all rocking eye-candy! The fighting scenes are relentless and merciless. BUT the OST is the star in my opinion. I wonder where I can download it...

Beautiful. Emotional.

Not much to say...if I could give more than 10 as a rating I would. I do wish I had waited until the series was complete before watching as waiting each week will be the death of me.

HIStory impresses again

I am binging this series like a mad person...it's 4:18 am and I can't stop. I'm literally hypnotised by the main actors.

What a start.

Wow, what a start to a series. Just...wow. I'm not sure where to start here. The eye-candy? Heck, yes. I am used to BLs having amazing looking male actors, but this series takes it to an entirely new level with a group of great looking guys (understatement!)The actor playing Tharn is beyond gorgeous and seriously nails his character. Poor Type is out of his depth. I was left begging for more at the end of the episode...all I can say is hot, hot, hot. I have read plenty of reviews (these are usually how I choose a series to watch) but, honestly, I don't really care for the OST/cinematic values blah blah...I only care about the originality of the script and the talent of the actors, so I can't speak about music etc in this review...I'm fascinated by the premise and thrilled by the ability of the actors. Desperately waiting for Episode 2 here.
