This was honestly the first drama I watched in a while that got me hooked (I’ve been struggling to find interesting shows). And it also put me onto He Yu 😏 I loved the ML, he’s like a little brat at times and the FL is extremely smart. I disliked how cold her character was but it really showed how good her acting is. Slowest of the slow burns for romance but the pay off was great. I do get why the ending kind of loses people. It’s a bit on the weaker side, they definitely could’ve stand to add a bit more explanation but it’s not bad.

I believe he was on the brink of dead and also recovering from the poison. That’s why the physican left as well, he was searching for a cure. To be fair, they did not explain it well lol

This drama definitely made Cheng Lei one of my top actors, he really showcases his range here. I absolutely love the main couple’s dynamic and the uniqueness of the story. I do admit, though, the middle kind of lost me and it was hard to trudge through. The politics just wasn’t quite gripping for a bit. But it got so good in the final 10 episodes that I actually binged. I know some people aren’t satisfied with the ending and wanted more romance, but I still really loved it!

I got bored halfway through because as much as I like Seo Kang Joon, he wasn’t the ML so it was hard for me to get invested. That being said, I couldn’t find a better drama to watch, so I kept watching and I’m really glad I stuck with it! I feel everyone’s acting got better and shined at the end. I wouldn’t say this is a must watch but it’s a nice, short feel-good drama.

Am I the only one who is actually enjoying the pacing? I’ve never been into politics in drama before but this one actually got me hooked because there’s no clear bad vs good. I also like Chang Yu and Xie Zhang’s relationship. In so many dramas, it’s always about the pursuit, they get together then they separate, they come back, then it ends. Now, it’s like the (yes, less dramatic) making it work part, which I feel is kinda refreshing. I’m caught up with Netflix releases though, reading the comments, I realize there’s a way to binge to the end 🫣

I’m just so obsessed with this strong FL and borderline obsessive ML 🤭

okay, I did not expect to like this show this much but I’m hooked!! love the FL so much. And yes their romance is a slow burn which gets me screaming into the pillow sometimes, but I really do think it fits their cheaters. so excited for the rest of the season to come out

S1 had better, more interesting individuals. S2 had better people dynamics to watch. Absolutely love the winner this season as opposed to s1

When I first got into Xianxia dramas, my heart was always ripped apart a bit too much. This had the perfect amount of angst imo. Love this drama so much 😭💕
