I don’t think Love Between Lines needed the VR theme, the architectural aspect alone is enough to make the drama…
Haha, I think it’s mostly a matter of taste. I’m not very strict when it comes to ratings, so I usually give dramas a 9 or 10, and I only go lower if something really bothers me (like Japanese dramas 😫).

It might also be a matter of genre. This is more of a slice-of-life/daily life drama, similar to The Best Thing. It’s only my second drama of this type this year, and if I’ve watched ten dramas like this in my entire life, that’s already a lot. I usually prefer dramas with more action, revenge, dystopian settings, and so on, but this year I’ve been in a calmer mood and trying out new genres, so I ended up enjoying this one (I mean, I'm almost finished with it too, 26/28 eps).

Am I seriously in the minority of people who enjoyed the VR plot much more then the real-life plot?
I don’t think Love Between Lines needed the VR theme, the architectural aspect alone is enough to make the drama enjoyable. I think the production’s mistake was wasting such a cool concept as VR. Unfortunately, it feels like two separate dramas: one focused on architecture and the other on VR. I enjoyed both themes, but what I really wanted was a drama solely focused on VR. It would have been much more interesting to have a story where the characters play VR games at home, gradually falling in love through their interactions, and eventually meet in real life (something combining the VR setting of Love Between Lines with the real-life meeting portrayed in Love O2O).

Episodes with VR scenes: 1, 2, 3, 13, 14, 18, 19, 26 (only the scenario),

I haven't finished the drama yet (11.06.2026). I think there's at least one more episode with VR scenes, but I'm still on episode 24 and no other episodes have appeared. I'll edit this comment later to confirm which is the last episode with VR scenes.

If your main interest is the VR, then you'll probably be dissatisfied with the show.
You stopped watching an episode before the VR theme reappeared. After the initial 3 episodes, there are about 5 more episodes with VR scenes scattered throughout, if I'm not mistaken.

isn't Lee So-Mang the bike guy and the murdered girl (who is still alive btw) Kim Hae-In
Yes! Kim Hae In was the first girl who fell from the top of the building, but she is still alive and is Seo Do Eun's girlfriend. Oh Si Eun was the second one, and also the girl from the art room who pretended to be Hae In's friend
