I'm so happy to read your very respectful answer .Intact having watched same storyline dramas as 100 days my prince and ans other dramas where the ML is rescued and lives a commoner life with a poorer Fl and then goes back to his position to accomplish his mission I found nothing original in the drama but I have to admit that I don't like the actors not find them very talented especially ZHANG LEE who never convinced me in his previous roles and feel he's so loved mainly for his looks .PS I just found out about his racist comments on Southeast Asian people and I dislike him more

So if Pursuit of Jade is truly setting records, why isn’t it attracting a large number of new viewers signing up to watch it?

How is giving one's opinion on a drama insulting you're just trying to intimidate meevery for holding a different opinion to show stop harassing those who don't share the same opinion and focus on your drama it would be better

I don't believe the views I feel that the Fans are doing a great job of a fake popularity for the show:I started to read the novel TWICE now but the story feels generic and so far I did not care for any of the main characters at all. The show itself has beautiful shots and lighting. They have invested a lot of money in the casting of main and supporting characters (Yan YiKuai and Wang Kai for example) but the story itself and the dialogues did not grab me yet. The way they wanted to cross-reference to 'Three Kingdoms' with the 7-step-poem from Cao Zhi was executed so badly... Coming from a show where you could sense the sadness and despair on screen, the flashback scenes from Yan Zheng/Xie Zheng did not manage to emulate the same feeling. A pity for such a big budget project.

This is not a classic romantic story the dynamics of the drama lie in the complexity of the characters' personalities and the interactions between them .

What a shallow depiction of these characters. You seem heavily influenced by transmigrational novel–based fiction. This drama is not about ‘important’ and ‘less important’ characters. You need to dig deeper to truly understand the complexity of their personalities.
