The religious aspect of this show feels more like a backdrop. The story wouldn't be much different if Fourth came…
Maybe for you- but it is a very, very good portrayal of the Catholic faith and of the time period. It is by far (because it is Thai and not western) the best portrayal of what it was like for me 30 years ago
The Ko1, August, Augar dynamic is so effortless between the actors. It's really well directed. Some things from Ep 7. August - Keen eye, catches Ko1's lip movement August - calling out Ko1 for not sitting next to Ko2 Ko1 laying on August's leg while waiting for the study group Ko 1 smacking Augar's hand at park August smacking Augar in the park August/Augar standing up when Ko1 gets mad in class immediately.
It's all very, very small details that really make a difference with this group.
my only 12 % directed by him was also good i think he's good at countryside high school romance but bad at university/…
I thought Until We Meet Again was great, and Love by Chance 1. But when he tried to do the Between Us/Love By Chance 2 it was really bad. Also it was like 5 years later
I am marveling at the attention to detail to the Catholic faith in this series. Not sure how many people are Christians, much less Catholic
The Sacraments are broken into groups - and not everyone does all of them: Here are some that are featured in the show so far.
1. Baptism - the first step. Usually done to babies by the parents to wash away original sin. In episode 2 Tanrak states his patron saint - or the name he chose was of John the Baptist. John the Baptist was the older cousin of Jesus and Baptized people with water.
2. Communion - for Catholics - this is the most holy - Catholics believe in transfiguration which a lot of other Christian's do not believe. If you commit a mortal sin, you cannot have Communion. In episode 3, Tanrak takes communion.
3. Confirmation - not mentioned explicitly - but Tanrak mentions he chose John the Baptist. Usually, during your Confirmation - you "confirm" your parents decision to Baptize you, and you get to pick a Patron saint.
4. Reconciliation (Confession) - in Ep 3. Barth teases Tanrak saying "what do you have to confess about" - during confession - you tell your sins to a priest, and are forgiven through contrition.
5. Ordination - becoming a Priest - We had ordination in Episode 1 of Kongdech's uncle
Now most sins like lying to your teacher can be forgiven, mortal sins like Divorce or Gay sex are Mortal sins - mortal sins mean you can no longer participate in the Sacrament of Communion.
In the end scene - there is a door and some type of metal mesh between Barth and Tanrak. A confessional (where you do your confession) is usually a wooden structure with a wall in between either side. there is a chair on both sides. there is then a sliding window door with a mesh between the Priest and the person seeking reconciliation so you are not face to face. Oddly enough, they were both confessing their feelings to each other in this episode.
The other two sacraments are the A. Anointing of the sick - what a lot of people call last rights - kind of a final Reconciliation to forgive sins to people who are dying and B. Marriage.

August has been calling out Ko1/Ko2 for like 3 episodes.
Meanwhile Achi and Augar just keeping there cuteness on the basketball court.
Until we meet again used this location as well. There are 7 falls total. It’s absolutely gorgeous.
"he's pale"
**blushing**
He's not pale, he' red!
no one realizes he is blushing and they move on to next topic.
Easily one of the funniest parts of the show. I burst out laughing!
