It's definitely a worthy drama to watch

This might sound so exaggerated but to me, it is so far the best bullying themed drama I've watched and will definitely watch it over and over again and not get tired of it. It is oddly satisfying knowing that the part where a weak and nerdy boy gets to beat up those bullies in the end is somehow a cliche, I am very satisfied at how the turn of events don't look so cliche.

Normally, MCs get to start their game at the middle part of the story, this one's pretty intense since the action already started at episode 1.

It gives you a rollercoaster of emotions. You'll feel the rage at what the bullies do, you'll feel the happiness that the MC feels when he's with his friends, you'll get to feel the intense energy when he bursts and most of all, the sadness that he felt when their trio ended up in a solo. Too much heartbreaking for an ending but that's what made me so invested in it and it's season 2 that I am reading the webtoon already...

Just let this drama speak its worth to you

I am a really meticulous person when it comes to choosing what to watch and it might not be the same as the other people's rating but I think, I can reason out that we all have different tastes when it comes to things like this. The thing that I loved the most is the chemistry between Im Ji Sub and Oh Jun Taek. They have that soft and calm type of chemistry which puts butterflies in the watchers' stomachs. This drama is also a rollercoaster of emotions: lifting you up with intense love, bringing you down with frustration whenever they act confused, lifting you up again when they are alone together and bringing you down again with the sudden avoidance which we typically understand basing on the past of Jae Won. Finally, the ending is cool because it's a happy ending. No open ending that all of us hates, and from being a rollercoaster, it went to being a carousel which slowly carries you around with love... The music is also very good and the acting is priceless.

I want more of Jae Won and Ji Hyun....

Not bad but not good

While waiting for this to be released, I was expecting it to have a good and happy ending but it ended up being so sad that I could never watch properly. My anger could never go any higher than it is when Yoong Su did all that. During the first three eps of this, I thought that he already changed his views but still, he values CSAT more than anything else. I know that he feels like that because he wants to be able to succeed but, if he did not do that, maybe he'll be able to do it. It's a very frustrating ending and the very last part of the last ep made me tear up. It must be nice if that was the real ending and not just a memory of the past. Still, the overall rating is 7.5 because the show is still good despite of what they did. I'm just glad that Kim Chi was alive..

It cost me lots of tears

Starting from episode 1, I already shed a tear. The concept is familiar but it somewhat feels new to me. I loved the fact that this short series was created this good with a good set of actors.

It made me sad when Jae Woo was able to meet Ji Hoon but the latter doesn't recognize him. It made me sad when Ji Hoon was finally able to piece everything together but it's somehow too late because of the limited time they have left with them. It made me sad when Jae Woo expected a lot for their vacation but ended up getting ditched for a reason. It made me sad when Ji Hoon was able to save the young Jae Woo but still ended up dying. It made me sad when Hyung Jin was able to pass the exam like what the dorm ajumma said in exchange of losing his best friend. It made me even sadder when Jae Woo tried to run and save his beloved man but ended up being late and going back to the present time, getting back the pain he felt before. But it made me happy that he chose to live his life to the fullest as requested by Ji Hoon.

It must have been good if Jae Woo was able to come and save his young self and his most admired person before losing time. Nevertheless, the story is good and it is really sad. I'm still crying while writing this review so I hope this helps

Just wanna share my insights... I AM YOUR KING!!! SECOND SEASON IS ROCKIN... Don't bash me for this

This series is quite intriguing. When I saw online that there will be a 2nd season of I am Your King, I was very excited because on the first season, the love story between the main characters was not finished. I was a bit frustrated to know that the 2nd season is a new story with a new characters focused on. But as I am watching the 2nd season, I am getting some ideas that might relate the two seasons. I am having a hunch that Pound from season 1 is Pun's brother and I have my theory for that.

First, the fact that Pun is living alone in a condominium is a proof that his family is away. He mentioned in the fourth and fifth episode that he lives in a condominium near the cafe where he applied as a part-time barista. Second, on those episode, Pun said to P'Sib and Em that his mom went to China for business and his brother followed to study there and that he is the only one who doesn't want to go there. I support this second part of the theory by the Last episode of the first season. Pound's mom is going back to China and she is taking Pound with him to study there. Pound told his friend, New, that he will be studying there for a long time. (That episode really made cry a lot). Third part (and maybe the last one), Pun said that his father is already deceased and on the first season, he has the same situation as Pound. Both of them have no fathers and they live with their mom.

They both have no fathers, have a mom going to China for business, and one is left when the other went to study there. This is just a hunch and I am not yet fully confident with it myself. But I am certainly sure that they have some relations though.

But, I am certainly looking forward to the development of the second season and I hope it gets connected to the first season as I watch it till the end.

Thank You for reading this!

Great story with great casting and lots of twists...

I really love this drama. From the beginning, the thrill is already felt. You won't have any hard time in understanding the plot because every episode has a flashback of how that part of their life started. The casting is also magnificent. As soon as I saw that Lee Dong Wook will be a main in here, I already decided to watch everything. Kim Hye Joon also made a great portrayal of her role as Jeong Jian. The young Jian also acted very well here. Also, the plot twist in the end where Jinman arrives is a really good ingredient for this one... Chef's kiss for this series..
