wow, this was such a lovely surprise. and what an adorable love triangle!! XD probably the cutest I've ever seen.…
I echo what you say. It was such a fun watch and what made it very easy to watch was the fact that it was 16 episodes. Short and not many unnecessary draggy storylines. Though I agree with other comments that her affection and confession for the ML was rather sudden. I liked the 2nd ML, the sort who doesn't whine, doesn't act like a spoilt brat, isn't afraid to say what he feels and all the more for that I so empathise with him and wish he could have had her even if for a short while.
Apparently yang zi is reshooting this and also shooting lost you forever at the same time since its in the same…
thanks for that update! hoping it's true.... she's probably professional enough to do that, and it makes sense as the location is the same. But boy, can you imagine the likelihood that she will mix up her lines or her character by switching to and fro like that? lol
I've only watched up to episode 31, but the comment section is making me seriously concerned that these villains…
I know right? It felt really out of place. As for the Boris thingie, I missed that part. Earlier on I was watching w/out subs so I had to guess here and there. But I won't be surprised if he was the culprit.
It’s Oliver himself who finds out I can’t wait till he busts her she deserves what’s coming to her and Lin…
I don't think so, he takes it without anyone knowing about it. Because we see in the trailer that she goes to find him in the lakeside place where they harvested the vegetables/herbs.
AUTO TRANSLATED Elyse and Dr. Xie argue over whether Jiang Qianfan should take Hope One or not, and Jiang Qianfan…
He flatlines on the table. But I doubt he will die on the table...as we can recall the beginning of the drama shows him very much alive and in his restaurant. Though I am not sure if he will still go to Paris with LKS?
auto translated so errors are possible [Episode 39-40 Preview] Jiang Qianfan overhears the conversation between…
I don't think so. there's a scene in the trailer where she hugs him and he's in a hospital gown. I think they will resuscitate him when he flat-lines. Remember in the beginning, she's recounting a story and she says "Three months ago...". And in that scene, Oli is in the restaurant, working.
Why are there so many evil people in this drama? Just why??? This is not even a thriller drama. It's supposed…
I am somewhat neutral about Elise not being brought to 'justice'. In a strange way, her conscience gnawing at her is compounded by the fact that people around her are so supportive of her despite what she has done. It's a point that she herself brought out. What is hell? It's the psychological torment that's going thru in her head, the little voice that keeps reminding her of what she's done and her ability to see the difficulties she has caused Olly...due to her selfishness. Is that good enough a retribution for her? In a way yes, if you think about it - never having a moment of peace, that feeling of anxiety wrecking her every moment, every day. That's justice.
Okay I need some clarification. Are they together or not? Cos in epi 37, they way they were at the terrace implied…
their relationship is very subtle, I think the fact that he is very physically intimate with her on the terrace is his way of admitting that it's not one-sided unlike what he said earlier on. Do remember that the ML has issues, he's had people he loved robbed from his life, his parents, then Montgomery.. so his hesitation is understandable.
Well, in my experience, younger Chinese actors (18-21/22) don't usually do kissing scenes. This was filmed in…
there was a peck on the lips. Yes, it had occured to me that her age might have prevented that, but in the dream sequence there was greater intimacy and kisses than in a non-dream scene.
All the romance I was waiting for only for it to turned out to be a dream sequence lol. I watched this show for…
The romance is there, it's subtly expressed, in the way he (ML) runs to her when she's (FL) in danger, when his anger with her subsides only in one day when she's done something which in the past would be unforgivable in his books, the way he comforts her, stands up for her. It's his way of loving her, not the standard romance we would expect. As for her, it's in the way she protects his ego, looks out for him, keeps his secret a secret, how her heart aches for him with each crisis he faces.... The later episodes, 30+ onwards, their interactions and chemistry are really good.
I'm on the latest eps for now in eps 36. Got frustated and scared for the ending so I have to go back to first…
Yes, it's a monologue, she's recounting a tale. So I was pretty sure he would recover his vision. Not sure about this taste buds though...and if she's been accepted to Le Cordon Bleu, but recounts it when he's in the restaurant...does that mean she didn't go? Or she went and he stayed back in the restaurant?
I don't like where it is going. "Everything is forgiven, we are all family" blah blah.It is more satisfying antagonist…
I am really waiting to see how the ML is going to respond when he finds out. Though I think after all that's happened to him, he will be very forgiving about it, that he will blame himself as the cause of it all. I think this is the sort of feel-good drama; don't expect vengeance and pay-back and retribution.
It looks like the screenwriter's previous works also have issues as well. In her last drama, people were pissed…
I was about to say I watched Lucky with You recently and experienced an absence of romance, very similar vibes to this show. Though in that drama, tbh, the absence wasn't felt as sorely. I could accept the way the drama went and was kinda alright with the 'all-of-a-sudden-marriage-proposal" and acceptance to boot.
In this drama though, the red herring confession, the slow dance (which was rather stationary) and the really akward kiss-scene in the doctor's office (particularly was in bad taste, the humour was really slap-stick) in E36 was really uncalled for. However, in their defence, I might say that the skinship and the chemistry between the ML and FL are quite mesmerising. I watched E37 tonight - look out for the conversation on the balcony. There were no hot kiss scenes, there were no confessions of "I love you" but all their actions, the way he held onto her, the way she rested her chin on his shoulders, wow those were smouldering in their own right! So, kudos to the both of them for pulling it off. It's no wonder there were rumours then about them dating - I might even find that believable, I think they got along very well in real life, in order to pull those scenes off (including the red herring one on the 'dance floor').
In ep 33, Oliver asked Dr Xie about the medicine he had been taking. Xie said they were just vitamins. Oliver…
yes he did, he asked Dr Xie what he meant by that? But Dr Xie brushed him off by stating that there are more important issues at hand. At least that's what I understood from the chinese conversation, were you watching subs perhaps and it got lost in translation?
