Ep 1 is a slow build we see his ordinary boring life and now the boss treats him and his co-workers....there`s nothing really about it to get a hook on until he wins the money which he does at the end though we get no reaction to that as the episode ends

They tacked on 20eps at the end to make it 140 and none of it was good...i was really enjoying the series until a major character (spoiler) and after that the quality dropped hard ....it was like they had no real script for the extended episodes..
It reminded me of The Third Marriage which extended from 120eps to 132eps as that run out of ideas and The Second Husband that was extended from 120eps to a staggering 150eps which changed how it was going to end and gave a really rubbish ending....both The First Man and The Second Husband and The Third Marriage were made by MBC and had the same scriptwriter Seo Hyun Joo
