Disappointed in the Drama
I was looking forward to watching this drama only to be disappointed. The main Female Actress Ruins the drama for me. This is my second attempt to watch this drama because Yu Shu Xin’s voice is irritating and quite annoying. She seems to perform the same childish performance in her other roles and films. Every time she opens her mouth, it makes me cringe. I’m curious how she’s able to land lead roles. Li Yi Tong would have been a better fairy because she can portray an annoying person without being childish. I feel sorry for Dylan that he has to act with an ungroomed and untrained actress. It doesn’t seem like he’s putting much effort into this drama as with the other dramas he’s done. Can’t blame him. Although the drama had a weak start the storyline and script got better and more interesting after episode 15 but it still could use some improvements. The special effects were ok. I’m not sure if I’ll have the patience to finish this drama.Was this review helpful to you?
Story could have been condensed to move the storyline along.
I watched this drama because I’m a fan of Liu Shi Shi. She is a great actress. Although the story was somewhat boring and draggy she portrayed her character well to keep me interested to see what she would do in the following episodes. She can change her personality and expressions to fit her role. I watched A Journey to Love and Lost Love in Times and loved her in both films. I didn't notice any of her behavior and actions from those films in this film, making her a great actress. She is a different person with different personalities in her films where some actresses and actors use the same facial expressions and behavior in all of their films.I first watched Tong Dawei in the film The Centimeter of Love. His demeanor is about the same in that film and this film.
Overall, I felt that this drama was somewhat boring with some scenes having meaningless conversations. This story lacks humor and the chance to see the main leads looking outstanding in a crowd.
I hope that there is a twist to the story towards the end so that I don’t feel that I wasted my time watching this drama.

Would like to see a season 2 for this movie
Enjoyed the movie and hoping for a season 2 to continue the relationship of the two main leads. The female and male leads were perfect for this story. The tragedy between the two male leads was unexpected. After 15 years of being apart, do they get back together or does the story go in a different direction? First time I've seen really serious kissing in a Chinese film from the main leads.Was this review helpful to you?
Drama worth a rewatch
This drama has a lot of depth to it and good flashbacks. Although the story did not end on a good note, if that's the way the story was written they had to follow the author's work. The acting of the main leads was phenomenal. They had good chemistry together. They displayed in-depth emotions and made you feel the anguish, pain, and suffering they were experiencing. Their delivery of the humourous parts was also good. I liked the wardrobes especially the collars of the wardrobes. It looks like a lot of money was spent on building the sets and on locations. Peng Xiaoran is one of my two favorite actresses. She's very pretty and makes her ML look good. She tends to favor costume dramas and I hope to see her in a modern drama.Was this review helpful to you?
Drama worth watching
I watched this drama three times over the last couple of years and it is one of my favorites. I thought the director did a good job of connecting the multiple scenarios. Parts of the story were humorous, parts were sad, and parts were unexpected which gave the story a nice touch to keep you interested. Thought the director could have done a better job in the last episode ending.The actors and actresses did a good job of portraying their characters. Yun Qian Yue overdid the ranting and whining which was annoying. Rong Jing was able to show a more human side of himself that wasn't shown in the beginning. ML and FL had good chemistry, good match in age, and nice looking. In my opinion, this is Tong Meng Shi's best role and character he's done.

Drama is a Little Dissapointing but I'll Watch it to the End.
The main leads were not utilized to show their acting skills. I'm happy to see Peng Xiao Ran in a few action, fight scenes. Although she's done quite a few costume dramas, this is the first I've seen her with a sword and fighting. It's disappointing that there is no intimate behavior in this drama. The main leads have a platonic relationship but love each other. Can't figure this one out. I'm watching this drama because I'm a fan of Peng Xiao Ran. Ren Jia Lun always has a sour look on his face with a stiff posture in all the films I've seen him in, and intimacy with his female leads are normally slim to none, as in this drama. I'll keep watching and maybe it will get better towards the end.Was this review helpful to you?

Drama was a big disappointment.
I had high hopes and looked forward to watching this drama because the Official Trailer used to advertise the drama looked exciting, however, I watched a little more hoping for something interesting would happen, but I was so disappointed with the opening through the third episode that I stopped watching. The story was too slow moving with nothing happening to keep my interest. I like watching Xing Zhao Lin in his other dramas but this drama didn't help his career as an actor. I may give this film another try, later on, to see if it may spark my interest.Was this review helpful to you?
