Healer
I don't often write reviews, and this would be the first on Google. Among some of the most popular K-drama up until now, I still think this drama deserves a lot more attention. I had maybe a 15-year separation with K-drama (since the "Stairway to heaven" days), not until the pandemic hit that my love affair with K-drama returned!! I caught up with all of the most-worth-watching K-drama listed, but this one wasn't even the list. Upon recommendation of a friend, I gave it a try one night, and then the rest was history!! One sleepless night turned into consecutive sleepless nights as I could not stop wondering how the story unfolds. The story is intriguing and unlike the typical K-drama stories. The romance interlaces in the plot is thrilling. The action scenes are awesome. The chemistry between the leads is believable. The main leads are just charming!! I have watched a few of PMY dramas, and she acts well with all of her partners, it seems; so I expected nothing less from her, and she did not disappoint. This is my first JCW drama, and boy, I am hooked. Not your typical K-drama prince-charming, but a more rugged badass heroic image. The man can act, I assure you! How he switches between the cool Healer to the goofy Bong-soo effortlessly. Watched the behind-the-scenes, JWC did most of his own stunts, how admirable!! The skinship between the main leads is natural; they truly acted like lovers (these scenes sometimes just look awkward in Asian shows). I could not imagine how the shippers had gone crazy over this couple!! Read that JWC gained international recognition after this drama, and very well-deserved.
The OST is nice. The theme song brings a gentle excitement with just a few notes in. The song by "Michael Learns to Rock" continues to echo in my head even after the drama ends. And a bonus, JWC also sang a song here. Because of this song, I looked up his other songs... and the man can sing - a voice with lots of emotion and good technique.
I have re-watched this drama twice, and have not grown tired of it. Definitely one of my most favorite K-drama of all time!! If you haven't watched it, you're missing out. It's the kind of drama that makes you feel smitten just thinking about it!!

I hear your Voice
The rate is 9.5, but since I was gonna remove a star for lack of chemistry, I don't think it matters. Actual chemistry is not something I expect much from KD anymore. The cases were really interesting. Of all the characters, my favorite was Mr Cha. He was deep and human in every possible way. I admired him, and felt for him and even found myself rooting (a bit) for his love. I can never forget him. It didn't bother me to see how miss Jang just didn't care about her clients. I know for a fact that a lot of lawyers are like that. That could be why Mr Cha seemed to be a knight in shining armour.
In fact, I liked all the characters. The friendship between the lawyer and the client he failed to help was really moving.
Of course, the plot was nothing that could happen in real life. So what? This is KD land! They still managed to turn the villain into a victim, isn't that trendy?
Lee Jong Suk was handsome as ever, but what I noticed was his great acting, especially when he grew desperate and mad. The scene with the pay phone is worth seeing.
This show is definitely one of my favorites. Tchuka!
