Yeaaah I’m a big fan of The Forbidden Flower!! Definitely a different vibe and storyline from The Early Spring but both have that same palpable tension you can literally feel through the screen. I’m so hooked on the push and pull between the leads (the lingering looks, the anticipation, etc) it’s the kind of chemistry that makes me want to keep watching just to see what happens next. Definitely my kind of genre
Dare I say the most sensual drama since The Forbidden Flower. Binged 15 episodes in just one night and I wish I didn’t as I can’t wait to watch the next ones. God I’m so obsessed with Sun Qian and Jing Boran’s chemistry. I need to see them more on my screen

What I am saying is that, given the material, the themes and what the story is intentionally trying to do, a 6–7 feels less like “this didn’t work for me” and more like a disconnect with the narrative itself
