Just finished episode 8. I feel like things are starting to pick up just a bit. Things with Keam and Ball are progressing, and I'm interested in some of the plot points that are popping up with Bbomb and Jin. I like that, in some ways, Jin's past as a playboy is coming back to haunt him. I really believe the reason he's so suspicious of Bbomb is no doubt because Jin has two-times people in the past. And it seems like the next episode will get into this a little deeper. This is still a fairly sedate show, but I enjoying all the cute cuddling between Bbomb and Jin and I'm interested to see where things go.
I feel like the story isn't too groundbreaking so far...there are quite a few tropes that are seen so frequently in other dramas and this show seems to rely on them exclusively. Boat's acting was pretty good, but I feel like Techno's character needs to be workshopped, lol. One thing I liked was the switch from Peach being a "villain" in the beginning to becoming an ally. That being said, I enjoyed the first episode, I felt like it was still fun to watch and I'm interested to see where they take ep. 2.
agreed! puthkaeng were not out of this world but still the best couple compared to the others. the acting per…
True. The acting comes off bad at times but I feel like that's just because they have nothing to work with. The stories don't always make a lot of sense,.
I really gave this a solid try, got through three episodes, then jumped to episode 5 because people were saying that was the best couple, but I just wasn't able to get into it. It's a shame because there are a lot of talented actors, I think it's just poor writing.
I'm only on ep4 but is it true that Nitimin is based on fanfiction about JJP (Jinyoung/JayB) from GOT7?Really!?…
Yes, I believe that's true! I'm a fan of GOT7 too. But I think the author changed the character names in order to publish the book. Then it got picked up for a live action drama. A lot of fanfictions have been published like this lately
I was hesitant to watch this because it just didn't seem like something I would like. I thought it would be kind of goofy and juvenile. And...yes, some parts were! But I really enjoyed it and I'm glad I watched it. It made me really nostalgic for high school and college, when I used to read a lot of shojo manga. I think the best lens with which to watch this show is to imagine it as a manga, which I believe it is based on one. If you try to apply a more realistic filter it will just feel cringe and weird. But if you roll with the absurdities it becomes a really sweet, heartfelt show. It's got a lot of the classic shojo tropes , with a sweet, positive, somewhat naïve FL and a tsundere ML. I can imagine it would be hard to play those respective characters without coming off as a cliché, but both actors did a great job. If you're on the fence, I would give it a couple episodes, you might like it!
Definitely a filler episode but I'm interested to see what next week has in store. Looks like we're finally starting to touch on the enigma that is Keam. On a side note, Jin is adorable
okay… so i finally decided to watch this and i totally loved the direction this drama was going, but that all…
I totally understand your feelings about how everyone treated Tian after the reveal. If you keep going I think you will really enjoy the end, but you should wait until you are ready. One thing I'll say in Phupha and the villagers' defense is that Tian didn't make the circumstances clear. According to him, he was responsible for Torfun's death, then 'took' her heart, and then lied to the whole village about it. Since Torfun was so beloved it was definitely a shock to them to hear that not only is she dead, but the new teacher (whom they had come to trust and love as well) was responsible for her death. I can imagine it was worse for Phupha, who was falling in love with Tian before hit with what he perceived as a huge betrayal. Although everyone is being really harsh, it isn't without reason. They think it's Tian's fault Torfun died and Tian isn't correcting them.
MDL BL ratings tend to be rigged by stans of popular BL shows. They mass rate popular/acclaimed shows with lower…
True, some people do engineer the ratings for certain shows. I haven't seen it with any BL shows yet but I frequently run across comments on other shows along the lines of "well I gave this show one star even though I liked it because I don't think it's an 8.3 overall and I want to bring down the average." Make it make sense.
Totally agree with you about the angst and the kiss, I loved the show as a whole since their chemistry was off…
I totally agree about their chemistry - I was so blown away by certain scenes like the backrub scene. There was a sort of awkward/first love quality to their physical interactions and then that kiss felt so choreographed. And yes - I agree about the crying scenes. :)
I keep waiting to stop liking this show. I saw someone describe it as bland and I'd have to agree that parts of it are. I'm not confused about the characters like it seems many people are but I also don't always understand their motivations. But for some reason I still enjoy watching it every week. *shrug*
Just finished this and it was exactly what I needed right now! I adored all the characters, which is unusual because typically there are is at least one side character who annoys me. I enjoyed all the of the relationships - romantic, friendship, coworkers, and familial. I loved that the drama dealt with some heavy topics, but found a way to deal with them without getting mired in angst for episodes and episodes. That really tends to wear on me. ML and FL were both such loveable characters, and I was rooting for them the whole time. The ending was so heartwarming I had tears in my eyes! If you are feeling overwhelmed and want something that makes you happy give this a try. 10/10
Wow it feels like I wrote this! So yes, same. I'm late to ITSAY because people hyped it up so much, everyone saying…
It's awesome that someone agrees with me!! I put off watching ITSAY for the same reasons - I just wasn't in the mood for all the angst. But you hit the nail on the head when you said you had trouble getting emotionally invested - I felt the same way. Repetitive is the perfect word for it.
I agree with you 100% about the kiss. It was definitely a great kiss, and the best underwater kiss I've seen. I guess my only problem with it is that it didn't feel like it fit with the rest of their physical interactions.
From what I'm hearing so far about IPYTM so far, some people seem a bit annoyed with some of the writing choices. BUT I'll still probably give it a watch later. :)
