Worth the watch?

Well, if you expect something out of the ordinary or something outstanding. You might be quite disappointed. i haven't even watched that many dramas but i still could predict what would happen next in most occasions. It's the typical you know romantic-drama action plot that you would see in most dramas.

What is it that I liked about this drama you ask? Well first and foremost is the acting. The acting was actually better than I expected and the roles played were quite fitting except for choi ri, which don't get me wrong, it's not that i didn't like her, it's just that I thought she didn't fit to take the role of the sister as in certain scenes her acting didn't feel quite right with me. The next thing is how Do Jin and Jae Yi didn't have any 'misunderstanding' cliche plot like most dramas have. I hope you understand what I mean. If you don't let me explain. Usually in dramas with these plots especially when it comes to 'murder' and 'betrayal' and stuffs like that, there are usually misunderstandings to it. For example when the male lead or a person he is related to says or does something and the female lead doesn't fully understand the story and kinda just come to conclusions without proper understanding of the situation, she will kinda just hate the male lead and you know be immature most of the time in the drama which leads to the male lead trying to redeem himself. In this case the drama had the female lead's parents killed by the male lead's parents and she didn't really blame him for what had happened. I mean the brother did but the drama made him have a good reason and actually resolved it pretty quickly. I kinda expected that she would think 'oh, it's his fault for approaching me and getting my parents killed' or something like that but surprisingly she was mature enough in this story and didn't blame the male lead because of what had happened because she KNEW the male lead was a good person. Which is a hella good thing for me because I DESPISE these kind of shitty plots. If you want a good example, I would say the drama 'my strange hero'. Kinda a spoiler but I won't get into the details. That drama was fucking dogshit. Though they did make up for it in the end I guess. But the start was fucking trash.

Okay, so what about the things I didn't like? Well, there wasn't really anything that annoyed me personally except for Choi Ri's role. Though I do have to say that the drama kinda got more boring as it got towards the end. I usually watch romantic drama's for the sweetness. The couple in this one wasn't bad. It was just not that appealing. They had a good relationship and I couldn't really ask for more. they had very mature personalities roles so I can't expect them to be all 'lovey-dovey' and cute. They simply were good together. Though I felt like the junior detective which obviously had a crush on Do Jin was kinda sad because she also obviously had no chance. I think it would've been better to just make them a co-worker relationship and not a one-sided love relationship.

As for everything else, the music and everything, they weren't bad nor good so I kinda just.... yea.

overall, I would recommend you watch this if you were bored and wanted to watch a kinda slow action romantic drama but if you want something more cherry like and funsies, this wouldn't really be a thing I would watch in that mood. So overally rating is 7.5!

This drama gave me such a high expectation as two of my favourite actors are the main roles of it. But the drama was quite disappointing. I'd love to see Ji Chang Wook and Won Jin Ah in another drama with a better writing.

*has spoilers okay

//STORY//
Now this is the part which the drama really fucked up on. At first you see this cool concept of cryogenics experiment that went wrong. It even had an antagonist to appear as the villain of the story. But this was just poorly executed. The start of the drama really had me on high hopes but later on I just gave up on the story and just started focusing on the scenes between Ji Chang Wook and Won Jin Ah. I personally think the drama could've done WAY better but it was just a mess. The character development in this one is also quite terrible. Especially for the antagonist of the drama, it was kinda dry. So I believe most people just gave up on the story itself. The ending came quite bad. Atleast it was a happy ending. If they ended it with her being stabbed and dead the drama wouldn't get a 7.6 rating and instead a damn 4 or 5.
I don't even know how to explain the story but overall it was bad and that is what's important.

//ACTING//
The acting was what saved the drama to be honest. Especially that shower scene omaigodd( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). But the actor that didn't appeal much to me would be Kim Bup Rae (Lee Hyeong Du and Lee Seok Du).

//OST//
I don't really pay attention to the OST's of dramas but this one wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Dramas like While you Were Sleeping had good OST's which really stood out to me and I would be able to recognise it if someone was listening to it. So the Music in this drama wasn't outstanding enough.

//REWATCH?//
No. I probably won't rewatch the drama unless it is for the scenes between Ji Chang Wook and Won Jin Ah. That is the only thing I would rewatch.

This is a good drama. No doubt about it. Was it heavy? Yes. Was it enjoyable? Well, better than I expected. Though I do think that there were a few things that I didn't really agree with the drama. This review will have some spoilers but not big ones. Though I do recommend you to watch it first or after you decided to drop it because those 100 episodes were quite worth it.

// STORY //
I personally liked the story. It touched a quite sensitive subject which is suicide, bullying and cheating/affairs. At the start I really wanted to kinda just drop the drama as to how unfair it was for Kim Cheong Ah as she was suffering so much and the people around her weren't able to understand how she felt, that really made me feel mad towards those around her and sympathetic for her. I really liked how the drama progressed and you could really see how these characters managed to change overtime. Though a genre that I quite disliked is the comedy. I was able to finish this drama in three days because I skipped most of the comnedy skits as i felt like it was quite a ruin to the mood of intensity that the main plot gave off. There were times where the drama made me laugh but I still skipped most of it because I wanted to know what will happen in the main story. The romance for this drama is quite good. I loved i and it was better than my expectations. Seol In Ah was really good at playing her character as she has a very innocent looking face. The drama kept it's intense feeling from the start towards the end. So for the story I think it was made real good and was executed real greatly. (7/10)

// ACTING/CAST //
I can't really say much for the acting and cast as nothing really stood out of the ordinary for me. I think the cast acted out their characters real good and there weren't anything that they lacked, at least from what I noticed. I do think that they chose the main roles nicely as they all seemed perfect for their roles. (8/10)

// MUSIC //
Again there is really not much to comment about the music as non of them stood out for me. Non of the music they chose felt off in each situation either so it ain't bad or outstandingly good either. (7/10)

// REWATCH VALUE//
I probably won't rewatch the drama but I might take some time to look at the romance and comedy as I skipped most of the comedy and enjoyed the romance. (6/10)
// OVERALL //
I would recommend this drama if you want to watch something quite heavy but also enjoy some comedy in it as I believe the producers and director wanted something to kind of cool off from the heavy plot. I wasn't into the idea as much because the heavy plot made me mad lots of times and having that random bit of comedy kinda threw me off a little. So I would rate this drama quite well and better than I expected. Should you watch it? Of course! (7.5/10)
