He’s still an adult. I don’t know how you equate military service with becoming an adult. If he wasn’t an adult, then maybe you should take issue with some of those romance scenes he’s been in.
I guess earning about a million dollars for this drama is not enough of a treat.
No one said he wasn’t. But he deserves to deep the benefits of the drama like everyone else also. So the man wants to enjoy having a successful drama and is also willing to serve his country. But you have a problem with that? Okay.
I had really high expectations coming into this drama and was let down. The drama is pretty entertaining but not…
I haven’t watched it yet, but coming right after The Killers Shop, it sounds like I’ll be disappointed. Plus, they just did Vigilante which I think did pretty well.
It was average to good show than how can it tops the chart ?? Was it the only show on the Netflix ?? Because it…
Even if it was an average show (which is what I am hearing) those people still watched it. It had pretty good advertisement and a good cast, so I imagine that when it aired a lot of people watched it and it was popular.
It may slow down in viewership as people find out about it. But not everyone is on MDL looking at reviews and ratings before checking out a show.
This mandatory military service for men needs to end
If you want equality in the military then the women should be treated equal by Korean society, but they’re not. There’s a reason birth rates in S Korea are on a steady decline. Women are tired of the sexism and chauvinism. But you want them to also be forced into the military with men that already treat them unfairly? Maybe the culture of S. Korea needs to make some changes before women are forced into military service. Because all you would be doing is putting them in one bad situation into a worse one.
Embarking on military service after a significant career success might inadvertently hinder Na Inwoo's trajectory.…
Popular actors and singers do it all the time and return with no problem to their jobs. Better to get your recognition now and have your name remembered. He may have been working for a decade to get his name finally recognized.
So, same-sex relationship is acceptable to you but teacher/student relationship is not ?Talk about hypocrisy.…
I’m not sure what you mean as there is no such thing as what I’m afraid of. 16 should still be too young. I would hardly call a 16 year old capable of being an adult. People aren’t even finished growing at 16. I don’t believe it’s just a moral issue, but a development issue.
Regardless of what the age of consent is in Japan it’s problematic. I’ve watched a lot of shows with problematic people. But this is fetishizing an age gap between a teenager and adult.
So, same-sex relationship is acceptable to you but teacher/student relationship is not ?Talk about hypocrisy.…
It doesn’t. I’ve heard of a lot of high school aged shows here with teacher/student relationships. But it just seems like more so lately I’m seeing more Japanese dramas than usual with the student/teacher relationship. But from my understanding it’s very common in Manga (which I don’t read) so obviously there is a lot of source material. It was just me own personal observation. Also that out of other Asian dramas, it does seem more common in Japanese dramas.
But yea, in the US there are a lot of those high school age shows. Hell, vampire shows with a high schooler entering into a relationship with a 300 year old vampire lol.

It’s one thing to have a crush on a teacher. That doesn’t translate to having a relationship with a teacher. We’ve all as teenagers had some kind of crush on an actor or model or whichever. The creepiness is quite simple. One is an adult the other is not. The teacher/student relationship makes it even more troubling because there is a power dynamic there. And teacher/students relationships in fiction are just all to common and treated as acceptable and a love story.
And when I’m referring to teacher/student relationships I mean high school. If it’s in a college setting they’re adults.
The ML was good in Under the Queens Umbrella, so hoping this is good. I do have a questions. Under the comments…
So from my understanding the FL and her “finance”, who is the older brother, is also gay. So the romance is with the younger brother. The summary did this drama no favors.
They should have given us more backstory on Honda though. It's clear that Jin Man met Bale and the others when…
True. I can only assume it was because Honda was in the line of working of selling weapons and Jin Man bought them, and from there they formed a friendship? Maybe? lol. Idk. Even that leaves a lot of holes. I mean you have to really trust a person to send them to save your niece and also to take care of Min Hye. And Honda must have really cared for Jin Man to do those things. My poor Honda.
Jinman probably brought the fight to babylon... If there is S2, Maybe show pasin's backstory like Min hye.
I would expect them to show us that Jin Man brought the fight to Babylon. There’s no way they would not show us what happened between his fake suicide and the end of this season.
Also, I don’t think Jin Man eliminated Babylon. I think he probably killed Bale. But the show made it clear there were people higher than the people we saw. Also, Babylon was hiring killers until the very end to eliminate Ji An, so it seems like they were still up and running. I could see season 2 containing flashbacks of what Jin Man was up to and what happened to Bale, but also a continuation of the present, like what happened with Pasin (and also more to his back story like you mentioned, we didn’t get any) and Min Hye, and also taking on Babylon.
I don't even care HOW, he looks like he went 11 rounds with Bale and won anyway :D And he's freaking ALIVE which…
I’m hoping for a season 2. I kind of want it structured like season 1. Present day and flashbacks. Maybe Ji An and Jin Man moving forward and taking down Babylon’s while also showing flashbacks of what happened with Jin Man after his fake suicide. I think by the end of this season Bale is dead. I mean it’s clear Jin Man was in a fight. And he seems pretty pleased. So I think there is definitely a story to tell of what happened between the fake suicide and Jon Man showing up at the end. Also maybe some scenes before that, especially because he seemed to know something was coming, he had things planned ahead, like having her memorize her college ID, and having his “suicide” plan.
Another reason I think season 2 could be another present day/flashback, is because we don’t know what happened with Pasin and Min Hye and I think Babylon is still a problem.
To be honest i liked ep 7 🤣. I like seeing same stuff but in other pov's.8.5 overall even though somw things…
Episode 7 was really good. Even thought it was a repeat of things we already knew, I was still take by surprise with the things they added to it that happened immediately after, or that we could hear but couldn’t see, such as Honda fighting 😭 and the fight in the morgue.
