Nope - I'm sorry my boys, but I'm dropping this for now. Since the series has finished I wanted to binge the episodes I'd left behind, but I just can't tune with this drama. Visually it's top tier and I don't even have problems with the "slice of life" story... my problems are the dialogues and the terrible editing and pacing. I might try it again in the future, since I love TutorYim, but right now it's just not my cup of tea. :/

This show is exceeding my expectations! Eps 7&8 were great and I keep falling in love with Mr. Ju, he's so goodlooking! But he's not the "idol/model type" of goodlooking, he's just genuinely a very attractive man and he's so credible in this role!

I think we all think we know who the son/killer is because he keeps asking questions and trying to snoop into things, but this drama is doing a pretty good job in the police/detective part too.

Well done, Korea! You scored another hit!

WHAT THE.... what was that final? Why the need to go for such an ending? Ok I get it, the bad guys never sleep and the world is a bad place so we know the fight good VS bad will never stop, and producers have to pave the way for a possible S2 if the series is successful etc etc.... BUT that was definitely NOT a good ending (and I don't mean it in terms or happy/sad but in terms of actual execution and story).

Ok, so, yeah... that means - I managed to finish this.
Objectively speaking, the series is breathtaking as always with Guo's works: sceneries, shots, costumes, music, plus the cast is gorgeous and convincing in every role... but oh my god was this boring. It could have lasted at leas 4 to 6 episodes less and I wouldn't have noticed. And mind me: the story, although starting with a simple plot, develops into a huge picture of subplots and interesting dynamics and I LOVED the final twist that we discover at around ep 20/21 - the final few episodes are very thrilling and they gift us with all the action I missed in the former ones.
Also, I like the evolution of the main male lead in terms of personality, but his journey from being a frail guy into a supersayan in less than two months was kinda unbelievable (although Zhang Ling He dancing with swords is always such a pleasure to watch!).

But to be honest, everything felt so flat. They talk big big big and plot plot plot but then it feels like nothing is actually happening, there is this "looming danger" atmosphere but the direction fails to really convey it. Plus the dialogues, especially the main couple ones, are so trite. T_T

The only reason I really kept watching till the end was for Gong ShangJue and Gon YuanZhi, both character-wise and acting-wise. I also loved almost all the other secondary characters, but these two brothers were definitely the highlight of the series for me: from start to finish.

Also, this was my first time watching Esther Yu, but her acting was so stiff - I will watch something else with her again for sure, since it might be a direction choice and not hers.

Overall - if you're into cheesy love stories you'll like it. If you're here for the wuxia action, than get yourself another series.

How is BoP? I want to watch it too but there are just too many dramas I'm following now T_T

The Nokia moment in this episode had me go back to my high school years, omg! XD
I love how this series plays with me: I feel so old but at the same time I get these huge nostalgia waves that turn me back into a teenager for the 50 minutes of every episode!

These 6 boys have quickly become a group of friends I'm not ready to let go. <3

I’m sorry. I like almondprogeess. But it’s so unrealistic that a talent scout would choose progress over almond.
This somehow makes me laugh, I kinda though the same thing! XDDD They are both cute but in very different ways! I can understand what the talent scout said though, he was looking for a more "particular" face

Yes, his character was so intriguing and my heart was aching because I couldn't unsee the bromance with Tang Li Ci! T_T

And FoF had me cry liters of tears for almost every character in it, but Bai Jiu and Ying Lei were so wonderful both as a duo and as characters perse, that their deaths hit so damn hard! T_T

Plus I'm now watching MJTY and once again I'm surprised by how Lester Lin is such a gifted actor at such a young age!

Dew's acting is getting better everytime I see him, so props to him. Neo is also doing a wondeful job in his role,…

Wasn't that a horror series though?
It's not that scary, don't be afraid to watch it! I'm not a fan of horror shows usually, but that was more of a thriller/mystery with horror/bloody/eerie scenes in it (because of ghosts and shamanism)... the story is actually very interesting and both leads are amazing in it!

Well - kinda "particular" but not bad for the format and budget. The actor playing Seung Ho was actually pretty good and managed to deliver his role pretty well although the story lacked quite a few explanations. Now, reading the comments, I'm getting curious about the manhwa XD

Unpopular opinion, but episode 2 felt pretty flat to me - once again I appreciated Dew's acting and I loved Mata's smile (this girl's smile is even bigger and brighter than Xiao Zhan's!), but other than that the suspense wasn't suspensing much... ^^'

Hi! I'm kind of in a slump in terms of dramas: I'm watching tons but nothing that really captivates me (except for 2 BLs that unfortunately are airing so it's a weekly waiting torture ^^') so I'm looking for something interesting to start.

Is this in the style of Blood of Youth? Adventure, action, and little or no romance?

I skipped to only watch Cheng Lei/TJR. love the brother duo
That's what I'm doing right now too - starting from ep7 or 8 onwards, I really couldn't care much for the main couple (nor for the secondary couple either, to be honest) and I'm just watching the brothers' dynamics.

This will forever be one of my N^1 dramas... I keep rewatching scenes and FMVs because it hit so hard! <3

Also, I'm so happy for Gong Jun's success but at the same time I wish I could say the same for Zhang Zhe Han: he didn't deserve all that happened and, although his music path went on, I really hope we can see him back on screen too someday in the future. <3

Highlight of first episode was, as expected, Dew's acting... boy gave me the chills, he's so good! And yes, Off's few seconds on screen were a nice bonus too. <3

Unfortunatley I've never been a fan of Tee, he's always been pretty stiff and I feel he lacks the charisma for this role. But, who knows, maybe he'll surprise me and I really hope he does! The police moments felt pretty random and as of now, although it seems like an interesting series, it's not one of the best first eps out there.

I'm struggling so much with this one... I'm stuck on the first 5 episodes sicne ages, falling asleep continuously and restarting the episodes again again while the main female leads talk veeeeeryyyyyy sloooooowlyyyyyyy (and Esther Yu is def not one of my favorites unfortunatley)...

As of now I only like the duo ChengLei/TJR that brings a bit of spice into the setting (and both are visually stunning as always) and Jolin Jin who's over the top and being a queen brightening the mood.
I usually like Edward Guo's stories and this one has a pretty high rating, so I'll try to keep on watching, but I have a feeling it won't really hook me as other projects.

These two kiss like they've been a ship for ages, instead they just started acting together (and acting, in general...!). They are a treat, keep it coming!

PS, Phob is one man with attributes, boy knows what he wants and will never stop before getting it! Go go go, revolution!
