Is it me, or did the show become a lot tamer since they re-edited those 2 episodes? There's virtually no intimate…
This comment and the entire thread of commenters agreeing with his clown shit take is so tired already. It's gotten beyond old. And this 'bromance' thing. How do people not understand there is no such thing as Chinese bromance, its a legally FORCED TAG, they have to use it if they want to be allowed to air their work.
Bromance is it's own genre and should be valued as such. Don't get it twisted with censored BLs, the characters in censored BLs are gay. GAY. Respect the author, respect the producers, respect the actors, respect all of them and the efforts made to be bring us these shows, don't call them bromance as if the no-homo government in China deserves any kind of respect for that bs.
And you think because they stopped putting their mouths together during this arc that they're gonna just be bro/besties now? Really? LOL wut? The logic in that is VACUOUS. Sometimes I wonder how people who watch shows with this limited ability to understand fiction, plot, storytelling, suspense, world/character building and nuance even function irl.
I hate making comments like this, I prefer ignoring people who say stupid shit but sometimes it tests the patience. Fight me. Idgaf, ya'll annoying. Go watch something PG13.
Does CC not know Dabao's real name is Wu Qi Qiong ?
Gotta wonder how the wires never got crossed though, what with Chi Cheng showing up at the house asking for Wuo Suowei in ep 5, and his mother referring to him as Da Qiong.
Weβre already at Episode 17, and yet people are still leaving comments about the Episode 1 rape scene.Yes, Chi…
If I ever lost Deadpool, Hannibal, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Peaky Blinders or even Interview with the Vampire to snowflakes who can't understand fiction, fucking heads would have rolled. I like my characters variably, creatively and colourfully fucked up, thanks. Sorry not sorry.
HERE ME OUT YA'LL. This may be my 'hopes and dreams' side talking, but I really think there's a high chance we'll get a purchasable 'uncut' release of this show once it's done airing. There are a few reasons I think this is a possibility: 1) The bts are sometimes very extended in what happens in the scene compared to what we're getting, sometimes things are actually totally left out. It's almost as if they're filming whole extra parts and teasing us with the bts after we see those parts are NOT in the currently airing version. 2) It would make sense to do a first release version to test the waters for popularity and protentional income stats, in order for them to see if it'd be financially viable to invest in an uncut release. 3) A first release version also allows them have more control over potential drama in China without throwing the actors totally under the trending radar with the more explicit scenes (like some of what has been hinted in the bts) because they knew some Unhinged fans (and non fans) using the VPN's in China might/would spread those scenes. 4) In one bts, a crew member said 'Do you understand what is an International Release' or something along those lines, when they were filming a scene with Chi Cheng and Suowei that we did NOT get the full extent of in the currently airing release
So I'm just saying. Hoping. That'd be awesome actually. 10/10 would buy it.
I think people must not be used to seeing a relationship devolve after a meet-cute courtship, where most seriesβ…
Agreed, most BL watchers have become accustomed to a routine way of storytelling in BL and it almost always ends when the pair gets together or is still in the 'honeymoon phase'. We don't get nearly enough Established Relationship extended arc BLs and I'm here for it. To this day, it's the reason Together With Me and it's sequel remains one of my faves, flawed characters with real issues and a full established relationship arc. We need more of these types in this genre.
Btw, the phone gives sounds when taking a pic which is so noticeable!!!HOW COME THE BRO DIDN'T HEAR IT π€£
This is most likely a fault of the editing team when they're filling in background noise in the post production process, they're not taking scene context into consideration.
YES THEY MADE OUT IN THE NOVEL, and it was intense enough that WS got jealous. That's what I WANTED TO SEE, that's…
I wondered about this earlier, even posted about it in the comments, like, are most people unfamiliar that many explorative couples fool around like this? Faulting CC for kissing Chengyu when his boyfriend dared him to do it, when they had a relationship lacking in boundaries to begin with and when they were drunk off their faces, that makes no sense to me. WS was looking for trouble and he got it. CC didn't do anything wrong imo. In terms of relationships dynamics one of two things were CC and WS's dynamic: CC didn't even look confused or hesitate to kiss Chengyu because either a) he wasn't surprised kinky-WS would dare him like that and was used to those kinds of games OR b) CC actually wanted to kiss CY (which is also a possibility and then that puts both him and WS in the wrong and reveals how off balance their relationship was all along)
People who are solely mad at CC for having a past that matched his personality are just confusing to me. Not saying it's you, I'm referring to the comments I've read.
YES THEY MADE OUT IN THE NOVEL, and it was intense enough that WS got jealous. That's what I WANTED TO SEE, that's…
Why do you think it's perverted to want to see them kiss each other? lol there isn't anything wrong with it. Especially since in the novel they fooled around as teens. It's all before his relationship with SW, there is nothing to feel bad about lol π
did anyone here watch the show adults (2025)? that's what i interpreted the kiss as. yes i know theres huge cultural…
They did 'french' in the novel and it was meant to be implied that they did in the episode, after that peck, they kissed again, but we only saw Wuo Suowei's reaction to it.
The comments are interesting here. I wonder if it's a cultural thing or a personality thing when it comes to how people see Chi Cheng's past. I'm just not bothered by Chi Cheng's past, this kind of messy dynamic just doesn't bother me. lol In fact, I find it very interesting and entertaining to watch how it plays out. I've also known some really messy people irl too, maybe that's why.
In terms of fictional characters, this kind of story is a fanfiction gold mine too, so many avenues to explore. Unsurprisingly, my brain has been working on overdrive about the topic of CC and CY, if I still had the time to write fanfiction, I'd be all over that topic, there is so MUCH to explore about them. I'm sprouting headcanon ideas out of control. Chai Jidan's left a lot of ambiguity about these two characters relationship dynamics (and I do love angst and ambiguity) and there is so much to delve into. Unfortunately, I doubt anyone else will be writing much fanfiction about CC and CY so it won't be explored. That said, if anyone comes across any fanfiction about them, do let me know.
I had a feeling this "dare kiss" was more than a peck. Is this the same in the novel and I thought wrong…
YES THEY MADE OUT IN THE NOVEL, and it was intense enough that WS got jealous. That's what I WANTED TO SEE, that's what I was manifesting all weeeeek. That kiss was going to be my everything sauce. It's implied that they made out in the episode, but they show us the peck and then they show Wu Suowei's expression as he watches them kiss again. I feel so robbed.
I haven't seen the ep yet but manifestation should be continue π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―π―β«β«β«β«β«β«β«
THE EP 17 PREVIEWπππ chengyu the mastermind you are also that scene between XS and WSW was hilarious…
Because SW's name is TOO extra LOL, it's obvs it's not his given name, no Chinese parent would be that full of themselves XD and yesssssss, CY has been running game on these fools for ages, I mentioned that in a comment like three weeks ago I'm glad we're finally seeing it!!!!
I can't see the second two boxes that WZ picked up, but one of boxes that SW picked up are some kind of hydrochloride…
LOL I am one of those who don't find the actors of the Wang brothers attractive but at least now we know it was probably Chlorpromazine Hydrochloride because WS is one crazy mofo.
