Oh noes, someone's aaaangy about the big bad characters being meanies. lol Another 🤡who doesn't have critical…
Oh noes, sounds like you're more butthurt now LOL. So yeah, just to be clear, I'll comment on whatevertf I want and that's all there is to that, and you can too, no one's stopping you.

Again the problem here is your lack of critical awareness skills. The very fact you're watching any fiction and thinking people are 'wishing for it in reality' and watching dark things in fiction and thinking 'is it okay?' and having to tell yourself it's not, that is a YOU problem. Like say you watch a movie about an apocalypse/domestic abuse/poverty, etc and you reckon the writers/viewers are wishing for it to happen? That's on YOU 😂

You just seem like a 🤡 who's tryna make an issue where there shouldn't be an issue, not unless it's on a case to case basis and in this case, you're unable to handle the fictional content without being overly affected. If your brain is saying 'is this okay?' in the first place when watching dark themes like rape or murder, again, that's a YOU problem. Your brain/perception is the problem. You might wanna get that checked.

Fiction is entertainment, be entertained and get on with your life. Or stay pressed, your choice✌️😂

Yep, Chi Cheng is not voiced by TXN, he is voiced by someone named 顺子 (Shùn zǐ), this is confirmed in the show's credits. Whether 顺子 is the Samuel Wang you mentioned, I doubt it because this https://mydramalist.com/people/147146-wang-bao-shun is apparently the voice actor, unless that's his English name...?

It means that China can't censor it or take it down because while it was filmed in Mainland China with Mainland…
That is the unfortunate part, there was/is a risk of them getting some unpleasant backlash and feedback in their own country, however, we cannot ignore the fact that the production crew, the author and the actors would all have known the risks when they took on this project.

It's not like there hasn't been a precedent set for the government's gross oppression of LGBTQ and the Unhinged® fans disgusting harassing behaviour over actors (especially BL), so they knew what they were getting into. They also likely were at least mostly prepared to deal with any fallout (and it seems they have been dealing with it fairly well if the actors increased popularity and the fact that the popular apps and sites in China are no longer blocking the trending topic of show online -the last time I saw an update at least-).

All said, we, as international fans, cannot do anything but support them from our side; financially by paying to watch the show for those who can afford it, and with online encouragement for those who can't.

out of curiosity, what do you mean by it being disconnected and what did you not like about it in comparison to…
Hm, If I recall correctly it was in the scene where CC goes to see his parents and his dad threatens him to find a girl within a year or he'll choose one.

For me, from what I interpreted of the timeline according to the scenes as they happened, by the time YY met CC, WSW was already 'transformed' and had been rejected by YY a second time outside the restaurant. So however long he took to get fit and get his shit together has no impact on YY meeting CC, it all happened before that. Also CC had already encountered WSW twice by the time YY encountered CC for the first time. I think maybe many people are enjoying the show so much they're glazing over the timeline of events?

I'd reckon WSW's transformation took a few months realistically.
Then there were probably a few weeks (maybe 2 or 3) between WSW getting shot down by YY again, and YY seeing CC for the first time, and then maybe another week or so before YY went after CC directly (since she hadn't been badly injured).

Following that, YY and WSW where more or less getting to know CC at the same time. This is what I understood of the timeline, does it sound less tight? It doesn't seem tight to me, seems reasonable.

Nothing to defend here, trying to defend something that's not real is redundant. Fiction is what it is, it exists to depict anything and everything (good, bad, ugly, fantasy, etc), how you perceive it and are affected by it says more about you than anything else. As for your comments, this YT video can help you understand my viewpoint about what you've said:

I guess I wasn't affected by the way the passage of time is being depicted in this show.

I just wanted to comment about YY moving on quickly (a few days, a week maybe), I reckon that's the point of her character, she's meant to be fickle, materialistic and shallow.

She was already with that guy -Wang- who hit WSW on the head before she even broke up with WSW, and if CC hadn't played chicken with them on the road and they'd been run off the road (Wang is paralyzed btw, not dead, CC's dad confirmed that ) she likely would have started pursuing CC even before breaking up with him. She doesn't need time to 'move on' from one dude to the next, it's all about them dolla' dolla' bills for her lol

What does it mean that this drama is aired outside china?? I am pretty sure Chinese govt isnt allowing this in…
It means that China can't censor it or take it down because while it was filmed in Mainland China with Mainland actors, its not distributed out of China, it's sold to international platforms and aired outside of the Mainland. The Chinese BL fans have to use VPNs to pirate or access this drama.

Agreed! I watched the series on Viki first, and afterwards watched the free 1-4 episodes on the main YouTube Channel…
I'd rec it, I subscribed on YT, it's not expensive either. I'm glad I did, because the YT subs definitely capture what's being said with the tone of each scene more accurately.

For those who are still uncertain of / or interested in the voice dubbing process and voice actors (including Zuyi), someone on Twitter posted a video shared by the Director of Revenged Love about the voice dubbing process.
https://x.com/0rangeFair/status/1941081264188268853

Voice dubbing is common in Chinese dramas, they usually make their best effort to choose voices that match the characters (even if we think the original actors voices would be fine), it has a lot to do with pronunciation/accents and enunciation and emotional/character tone. That's how they roll ¯\\(ツ)/¯

Just a heads up to everyone who downloaded the show for rewatch and are looking for srt files of the subs, I've now watched with YT, Viki and Gaga subs and imo the YT subs are actually the best, maybe not expressly grammar wise, but accuracy wise to what the characters are saying.

Ziyu is dubbing his own role (WSW) but the rest are done by voice actors
Nope, he is dubbed by a voice actor, it's in the show's credits, only Zuyi dubbed himself, as mentioned.

Title The Untamed
what's CBL
The fact you call it bjyx is exactly a part of the overall problem that led to this issue of separation in the first place 😂The actors are NOT a ship, they're real people with their own personal lives. They're actors. The Untamed was their job. We should all celebrate The Untamed as a TV show, not RP shipping.

Title The Untamed
why is it so loved? Is it really good or is it only bcs of bl?I am not sure if i can survive bad production and…
The plot itself is fantastic, like the book, it's layered with nuance and mystery and drama and the BL pairing's relationship development is one of a kind, that's why it's loved. Even though the budget and CGI at the time were not the best they could have been, the show still delivered so many beautiful scenes and outstanding memorable moments, even besides the BL aspect, it excels and sets a bar. And it IS BL, just censored (only forced by the law to call it 'bromance'). If you like BL it'll be a bonus feature, if you don't like BL, you can put on your no-homo goggles and convince yourself otherwise, either way the show is great and this drama's hold over viewers is a testament to that. ✌️

The 37.37 minute mark of episode 8 was already PEAK, but knowing from the bts that the closing moment of that scene was actually just the two actors being themselves with their bona fide chemistry working its magic just made it better.

I'm gonna end up with more than one 'scene that lives rent free in my head' from this series on my profile, since it's only up to ep 8 and I've already added one and intend to add 37.37 too. This show is really serving.

He's gone viral in China and Cfans are 99% supportive but some who feel threatened by his rise are attacking him…
"So this will do wonders for their careers" ~~ that's almost the entire reason why many actors do BL, not just in China, but other Asian countries too, they do it because it's a super quick boost to fame. Puts them on the 'map' almost overnight most times.
