What's TGCF? And what Chinese novel could you recommend the most? 🥹 Do you have links?
I do know of this, but Painter of the Night is rapey isn't it? I hope the adaptation will filter it out or tone it down, like Revenged Love has done, and how Together With Me did.
Not sure if by 'this' you mean good BLs, or BLs with a similar theme, but this is my personal BL recc list: https://mydramalist.com/list/4Ko6OAK4…
I see, alrighty, so yeah, out of Taiwan: someone mentioned We Best Love, I'd recc that one to (the sequel as well). Also My Tooth, Your Love, See Your Love, Fight For You and First Note of Love.
From China, as I mentioned The Sparkle in your Eye, Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island and Blue Canvas of my Youthful Days.
From SK: Semantic Error, The Eighth Sense, and currently airing is Ball Boy Tactics.
From Thailand: Century of Love and Love in Translation (same pairing), This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans and Never Let Me Go. Reset is also doing pretty good rn.
Nah nah, it's still good, but fr, bro needs to chill with the losing his shit in front of people over what happened in his other life. His lack of control over his emotions is over 9000 and will create a ripple effect of new dislike with the way he's going.
Ps: Armin's hairstyle is also pretty awful, but that's neither here nor there.
This episode was good, not only did we NOT have to watch/skip past a sex scene of Victor and Tontae because they spared us that, but Viktor finally went home! AND Somo is about to have a bad time for being an obsessed weirdo. Good stuff.
Ah Nankrai, he's a good guy, unfortunately, nice guys finish last.
Short answer: It's filmed in China with Chinese actors but is being distributed and aired outside of China, not…
Ooooh, you mean the big productions that were filmed but halted from release by the ban. Yeah, I'll take a refilming and recast of Eternal Faith (TGCF), uncensored any day to be sure.

They have been! You can check out the short Chinese BL Trapped in Osaka, and the full length Chinese BL The Sparkle in your Eye, which isn't on MDL because it's distributed out of Singapore, you can find it on Gaga, Viki and other sites.
Can someone suggest me more bl dramas like this, I have been disconnected from dramas for a while and I have just…

I'm really curious, does someone know how this series is possible since BL stuff is pretty much banned in China?…
Short answer: It's filmed in China with Chinese actors but is being distributed and aired outside of China, not officially available in the Mainland, so censorship can't touch it.

As the other person commented It's the Chinese initialed name of Heaven Official's Blessing (Tian Guan Ci Fu) and it's THE GREATEST. It's my fave, I would absolutely recc it, it's so good.. Personally I liked it even more then Mo Dao Zu Shi, which has a censored adaptation called The Untamed (also amazing, you should really watch it, life changing).

I get what you're saying, but it's a two sided argument, a large amount of people will complain up the wazoo if the adaptation strays too far from the source material, likewise, if they change it a lot to avoid controversial themes, then there'll be other complaints overflowing.
I am on the side of sticking as close to the adaptation as possible, while being aware of which parts of the source material can be altered without ruining the overall tone of the show. I think they're doing great so far in Revenged Love. Chi Cheng is a prick for sure in the novel, they've altered it, toned it down, but I'm personally glad they kept his personality of being a dick in the series.
It's always interesting reading comments of people who are new on the scene of, and are surprised by, the quality of a well done Chinese BL, because for those of us in the past who've read the original novels and then watched/waited for the censored Cn BLs of those novels KNOW what we've been missing and now we're reveling in Revenged Love (and the other production being released). 🤩
I swear ya'll, if we can get TGCF adapted, uncensored, I'll FUCKING MELT 🫠
In love when the flashbacks are lowkey better than the scene itself, it's like getting the same scene done twice (as flashbacks do), without having to watch the exact same footage.
I'll watch this, but...WTF! There's unhinged villainous leads, and then there's rapists. Why did they choose to…
About the rapey stuff, this show is adapted from a novel of a writer who (unfortunately) likes rapey themes. The show producers want the show to match the novel as much as possible for the major fans of her writing, but they still tone it down a lot (thankfully). I'd recommend you do like myself (and others who dislike those themes), just disconnect from it. Remember that it's just the writer's personal 'kink', it's not an 'everybody's into it' scenario.
As for 'villainous' themes and the manhandling, welp, I'm a fan.
Ikkk I'm so invested that it somehow lasts so long. Normally it's the opposite. 😭😭😭
Watching many scenes the first time for reading subs, the second time for the scene visuals, the third time for science, the fourth for the sake of humanity.

From Japan, all I got is Sugar Dog Life.

I'm dead ass in love with this show.
