I actually burst out laughing, I specifically left the preview for the next ep to play, I wanted to see if they'd not show a preview (like some shows do when a major cliffhanger happens) or if they'd edit it ambiguously but NOPE, it's clear as anythin in the preview that Night survived. LOL so all those dreams Ozone had about Night dying (which I assume were supposed to be pseudo-foreshadowing to make viewers worry that Night would die if he tried the fake death and resuscitation thing, were wasted with that 'cliffhanger' because they outright said 'don't worry, soft GMMTV regular viewers, we'll never harm your fave male leads, please keep paying us and keep watching for a happy ending' LOL. I mean, for some of us, it was already clear the 2 main leads would survive no matter what, but damn, they barely tried to keep it suspenseful. If there are any twists or surprises to come in this how, I'd be legit astonished.
Anyway, Wiwat made me laugh too though, bro has been killing random pregnant women every four years like it was all good and then when the group suggested their plan to flatline and be resuscitated he was like: https://i.postimg.cc/yW4746sn/gif.gif
Let’s be honest—Victor is clearly the narrative endgame. He’s sweet, stable, bilingual enough to flirt,…
I think it miiiiiight not be Victor, maybe not Nankrai 100% either though. That dream Tontrae had in the first ep was whackass and the whole 'it's your time with him', and Victor's wish in the last episode both hinted at something temporary. The show is also called I Promise I Will Come Back, so who's leaving and returning to who, and who's getting left behind with a promise of someone coming back. I like not knowing, but I also hate not knowing. hehe
As for me, I'm flying my ᐯIᑕTOᖇ GO ᕼOᗰE flag until something becomes clear.
Ps: Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that Tontae himself wrote and directed this and those scenes with him and Nankrai are 🔥🔥🔥
Bro really didn't need to jump over that bollard chain like it wasn't 10 inches off the ground, it's literally low enough for small kids to step over if they lift their little legs.
I was lowkey disappointed Armin didn't really shove that contract down that woman's throat, would have been satisfying as hell lol All around entertaining ep.
The timeline I also felt they didn't do a good job presenting it. But obv the 4 year gap will be there. Night…
Eh, I'm not overly interested 'horror/thriller' stories where everyone survives 'just because'. This is a story about supernatural death hunting cursed people, if it doesn't have a totally happy ending, that would make sense to me.
Agree with all of your points. I also like how Calvin doesnt care about the royal aspects or whatever…now how…
It's just mini plots, so they're gonna float along and probably find different conclusions here and there. And I TOTALLY agree with you, I originally came here out of curiosity, now I'm 95% here to see how Calvin and Jay play out.
Drop all the ep at once and please someone record those episodes so that when it gets ban in the middle we can…
It's not getting banned, no worries. The Spirealm and Blue Canvas suffered the struggle to get re-released after getting taken down, but they set a new precedent and now we're getting some proper Chinese BLs aired outside of Mainland China.
Finally it's up, now if only they'd upload the short Chinese BLs 'Trapped In Osaka' and 'Infidelity, It's a Disease'. Since they're not here, you guys should look for these two on YT, especially Trapped in Osaka. Also look for The Sparkle in Your Eye on Gagaoolala and some other sites, it's so good. Chinese BL is mint!
I've been keeping an eye on this , and couldn't find this on MDL either to look into the comments, just wanted…
I recently realised it won't be MDL because it's produced in Singapore and MDL doesn't upload anything from Singapore. But it's absolutely a BL and it's absolutely great, it's going on my recc list for sure when it's done.
Trapped in Osaka is also so good (the two ML's might be the two best looking MLs I've seen in ages) but yeah, I submitted it to MDL and I'm sure others have too, but nothing is showing up. At least Revenged Love is finally showing, that's another one to look forward to!
I see this story is a bunch of mini plots side by side, nothing solidly has all the attention, which is fine, more moving parts can be interesting when what's on show is entertaining. So I like Calvin, I like that he doesn't seem to give much of a fuck about the Royal shit, and I want to see his relationship with Jay develop. I have no major opinion about the princess, her names escapes me, except for that if I tell someone I don't drink the first time and they repeat that I should try it, I'm telling them to fuck off, and I found her being led by Khanin's lopsided influence a bit stupid.
With regards to Charan and Khanin, well, Charan having PTSD and a trigger as commonplace to encounter as rain, imo that does no make him very reliable as anyone's Royal Guard, he should probably work full time as an art teacher and see a therapist. I do find it funny though, that I've been thinking he low-key resembles what a live action Roy Mustang might look like and the fact that they're both useless in the rain makes me snicker.
On the pairing side of things, this is my first time watching this apparently well known pairing in a BL and while I do think their chemistry is nice and I have been enjoying how their relationship development is being portrayed, I have to admit, that kiss in and of itself was fine, but it was also giving 'unnaturally glacial' vibes. It's like the director said 'think sloth, now kiss'. They could have kissed without escalating to anything beyond kissing in that moment, but with a kiss at a more natural pace. But this is a weird thing with many BLs, they're either unnaturally trying to speed eat each other's faces, kissing slow like they're being paid by the minute or smearing their closed mouths together 😂
I have no opinion on Ramil and Paytai, I'm not against that dynamic but I'm also not into that dynamic so it's whatever with them for me, I don't really pay attention.
This episode wasn't bad. I'm still gonna stick around.
It's incorrect how they say Taiwan, China. I was not entirely clear though, about whether Tontrae is actually saying Taiwan-Chinese as in Victor is from both places, maybe he has parents who are from either country. Not that he's saying Taiwan is a part of China.
Your thoughts about Victor are very true. They really haven't delved into anything about the Victor character,…
To me, Somo is just an example of certain kinds of women, who in their head, cannot reconcile the idea of a man choosing another man over a woman (who he can marry and live openly with and have kids, etc), certain women cannot imagine a man, especially from a traditional background, would not choose those things. So until she was told 'no' directly she was gonna cling to the idea of her and Nankrai. But that is an unhealthy mindset and that's why I think she's going to possibly be a problem about it, or maybe be unpleasant or bitchy toward Tontrae.
As for Tontrae and Nankrai, my take is, Tontrae hasn't ever considered Nankrai that way because when knowing each for so long, familiarly can create desensitivity toward attraction. He may just need the 'brotherly' veil to be lifted for him to see Nankrai differently. Victor just comes across as a shiny distraction, and even his wish with the candle was very neutral. He basically said, 'it's been nice meeting TK, he'll be a nice memory after I leave this place'. lol
If there are any twists or surprises to come in this how, I'd be legit astonished.
