I binged this over the weekend and then i had to re-watch. There are some secondhand embarrassment moments involving the FL, but overall, I loved her character development. The romance is just so adorable.

I have started ep 1 three times by now but I always end up dropping it because it feels so cringy.
It gets better. Almost each episode is like a complete episode, with a medical case to battle. The romance is very cute as it develops.

I interpreted as he kept his memories (due to the lightning strike) when he reincarnated, unlike Fu Rong. And maybe in previous lives before the modern one, he couldn’t find her. He’s running out of time to find her. He’s finally successful after a thousand years.
I don’t like to think that he’s an immortal because that means he had to witness his children, grandchildren, ....etc. grow up & die. I don’t want him to be lonely.

Kinda. There’s an annoying princess but she’s not evil. There’s an annoying duke (hero’s uncle) but no interest from heroine at all, only as a friend.

So, it takes him a thousand years to find her again,
(I like my theory because I don’t like the thought of XJ being all alone and watching his children and grandchildren grow old and die. ^_^)
